he'd played some good footy in his last couple of years before getting the arse. I couldn't help but like him as well.

I reckon once I accepted the player he was rather than what we were promised when we drafted him I found him very likeable and appreciated his skill set. Not Jack's fault. Just silly expectations.

In a roundabout way you could say we actually lack someone of his ilk with his ability to deliver the footy inside fifty.

Kicked some absolute clutch goals to in his time.

No roundabout way at all, I'd love him in this current side.

When is Chris Judd McVee getting his Rising Star nod?

Problem is, if you can call it that, he has been very solid but hasn't had one spectacular game yet. I love the no-fuss way he goes about things - he has a nice balance of defending and rebounding, but that probably doesn't lend itself to getting a nomination.

One of the things I like most about our 2023 team: Firestarters and fast finishers: The best first and last-quarter teams

Rotating the midfield more and keeping our stars fresher for the last quarter is working.

Jury is still out if we can keep it up against the best teams, but it's encouraging and seems a result of some clear planning and strategy, not just hoping we will "come home strong".

What I've liked is our pressure. When it is up we force turnovers and really hurt sides. Even though the game against the Hawks and Suns wasn't perfect (lots of silly mistakes), I thought the pressure was really good.

You see that shit at local footy a fair bit. Pretty weird at pro level to see. A fine is fine, somewhat unsportsman like. Take your break on the bench when ya get it

This is why I come to this forum to get educated on the important things. That was outrageous (he was fined 100K for that which was probably nothing).

Yeah, the owner probably paid it for him.

reminds me of the time at my local footy club when a dirty oppo player, after stomping on one of our blokes, picked up the ball and was running down the wing, when one of our guys from around the club had had enough, stepped onto the field, clotheslined the bloke, and sent him cartwheeling into next week.
i think from memory he got banned from local footy for 10 years, these days he'd probably go to gaol lol.

5/7 Sunday games to end the season, cool.
hahah its a ****ing joke yeah?

Reward for 7-2 coming off a premiership and top 4 finish the previous two years is being gifted the Sunday 3.20 timeslot
Richmond, Geelong, Pies, Lions & Tigers gifted rotating Thurs/Fri fixtures

Tbf I dont have an issue with this, but just announce the fixture at the start of the season rather than delaying the obvious
