The difference in cost to obtain Martin was far greater than just the list spot needed to get Robinson.

He had scans this morning. I'm guessing after 9am when Maher would have been off the air. Even if he had scans earlier than that the results wouldn't have been in for a while.

Howe is a useful player and in a great team like Sydney or Hawthorn he'd probably look a lot better, but here he takes some highlight marks, racks up 15 or 20 usually tidy possessions and pops up with the odd goal. I want him to stay, but if he decides to leave at the end of the year it won't be devastating. He was pretty quiet at times last season, but if we start moving the ball a bit faster and stick him back in the forward line, he'd probably go back to kicking 20 or 30 odd goals a season. This 5th / 6th defender gig he's been getting lately is a bit of a dime a dozen job.

I think Howe can be a game changer, has genuine impact and can win the impossible ball in more than one situation - has a lot of upside.

I don't think many want to get rid of Howe but if he wants to leave well he can go without structurally devastating us. I'd prefer he stay, I'm sick of losing good (or so we think at the time

) players every year.

Sorry Jeremy. I'm not suggesting you're shite, nor do I want you to leave.

But if you do go, you cant just walk out to a club of your choice. We will at least get a trade and frankly, if it can be part of a play for a big fish, then you can stick your contract up your own..
