Just bought something from eBay but it has apparently been delayed. This is the email I got to inform me that there would be a delay.

This is not a joke I just received this email from the person I purchased the item from & was on the floor after reading it.

Haha, I love Engrish.

Every Saturday morning I go to a local milkbar to get bread/milk/paper and there's always the same Asian lady there. Soon as I pay for everything, she always says: "have a gooda weeky!".

I don't know how I always manage to keep a straight face.

:thumbsu: I spent a bit of time in China a couple of years ago, and one of the funniest things for us was always finding the bad translations. I was pretty disappointed when I heard they were trying to clean it up for the Olympics.

Hahaha, jesus christ. I'd be crying.

The place I get lunch has a couple of good Engrish speaking workers. One always asks, "Something more?" when I think she means, "Would you like anything else?" First time it happened I had to ask her to repeat herself a couple of times because I had no idea what she was asking... Felt pretty bad actually

I reckon he's just typed into google translator there.

Has anyone seen how much that thing can murder common translations??

a chinese company, trying to get some of our business submitted some pricing. i told them the boss (darryl) was on leave for a few weeks to buy him some extra time as they were hassling us just about every day for our response.

Dear GPW1,

How are you?
Have a good day!
Does Mr. Darryl finish his traveling and come back to the office?
Thank you for informing!
Kind regards
Crystal

not as good as the first post in this thread but it still made me lol the other day when the email came through.

In my company we have to work closely with an indian helpdesk and a common phrase they seem to use when sending requests to us that we need to action is "Please kindly do the needful". It seems to be the same no matter which city or which helpdesk it is either.

I'm always polite about it though and when I've actioned a request I reply with: Please be advised that the needful has been performed on this request.
