Don't care what he looks like, can he play the game at the required level? Fed up with peolpe who think that you can judge a book by its cover. He's had two years and both he and the club have learned about each other and if he is to make it long term some things have to change. Let's just focus on his game and improving that.

He just needs to call Ashley Sampi for advice and information on where to find his closest HJs

Played really well for Box Hill in 2004 and deservedly came on to the Hawthorn list in 2005. Made the most of his opportunities in 2005, although he copped a couple of injuries (Lloyd's forearm guard to the face comes to mind). Failed to add any bulk over the pre-season and injured himself before the start of the season. Played a couple of games in the AFL this year when, on form, he didn't deserve to be picked - played some really horrid games and went back to Box Hill. Never really looked like improving on his 2004 Box Hill form and was (fairly) delisted.

He probably has the talent to make it, but it's going to need a club willing to invest a lot of time and patience in him. I hope Hawthorn puts him on the rookie list for 2007, so long as nobody better in the draft comes through.

I know he is a bit of a cult hero to Hawk fans, but I am not actually sure he can play. Lots of courage but not much skill IMHO.

In 2004, he was a beautiful judge of the flight of the ball and his lack of bulk against some of the bigger and better VFL forwards didn't make a difference, as he would usually just outpoint them on flight. But he seems to have misplaced that ability somewhere. However, his lack of bulk hurts him when he tries to tackle an AFL player as they can, if they're strong enough, just brush him off. Has a lot of work ahead of him if he wants to be an AFL player, but he has a chance.
