Very funny. I'm a big big fan of the TV series, so you can imagine my level of scepticism going into the movie. However, was pleasantly surprised as I think they've managed to capture the general humour of the series.

Anne Hathaway is pretty hot, but so bloody pale! No Barbara Feldon though.
 
Saw it yesterday and i loved it. Very similar to TV series, with a few nods to it here and there.

Has some very awkward comedy, and all the actors play their role perfectly.

Yep. I was scared that i would be huge letdown. But I thought it was very funny, great story, great acting. lmao at the gut from Anchorman (Champ). Loved the staple in the head. :thumbsu:


Anne Hathaway in the evening dress = Pure Hotness!! SO sexy!
 
me and my mate were about to watch this movie and we had $25 between us so we went to purchuse the tickets and they ended up being $27 so then i got my key card to pay the $2 left no big deal, went to type my pin then it goes invalid pin and im like wtf? so then i went to a atm and the same thing happens, plus we didnt have our phones cause we had no credit so then i went i called his parents by a pay phone to pick us up and man i felt like shit cause i knew i was gonna get yelled at ect ect. got back home, so then i went to check my pin and i ______ got the numbers mixed up. im still pissed man goes i let my friend down and shit, and by the way we are 14yrs old.

lol seems funny.

He has everything to make it.

He's incredibly handsome, he can talk and he's quick-witted.

It was great to see him in a somewhat different role to his own personality (and usual characters).

Not a bad movie at all. Lots of cheap laughs, which was quite good. Carell was excellent IMO, as was pretty much everyone, but he was the standout.

My favourite line of the movie had to be when they have promoted Max to be an agent. Hathaway asks to say something, Max says to get it out in the open, where Hathaway complains about having to have Mas as a partner. His response was somethng along the lines of "Well that was a sucker-punch to the gonads"... Just how he delivered it.

Who else found it kind of amusing that the 40 year old virgin managed to hold off the Rock in a fight:D
 
Not bad but not brilliant, had its moments but just not that funny overall. Anne Hathaway is smoking hot :). I prefer the T.V. series, didnt like Steve Carrell in this at all.

I just saw it tonight and really enjoyed it. It took some of the jokes from the series but if you never saw the show, you would have still found it amusing. Carrell was actually better than I thought he would be.

I think a movie like this is always going to divide fans - sometimes the movie is too close to the show, other times not enough. It is like movies made from books - you are never going to make everyone happy. Overally I was pleasantly surprised - I didn't think I was going to laugh that much.

So good whens Max is in the planes toilet and hes shooting himself. ha and hes like arghh "ballsack." Also there was abit in the movie when i was the only one laughing when Anne Hatheway after her dance says "did you see anything" to max refering to him snooping around and max relpies "yes but i dont think you was expecting him to lift you that high"
