AFL Club
Western Bulldogs
Hi Dockers fans. Firstly, I'd like to congratulate you all on the win yesterday, and Pav for a brilliant career.

It was suggested on our board that some of you could adopt our team at the Eagles v Bulldogs final next Thursday and support us/give the cross-town muppets hell. What could be better than going to work on Monday after the Eagles have been kicked out of the finals by a team you've just beaten?

Sadly for just about all of our supporters, it's very hard to get to this game as we would need to take two consecutive days of leave with minimal notice to employers. It'd be great if you could come along in anything red, white and blue, or even in your purple gear and be our voice on a big night. Obviously, this isn't going to be for everybody, but if you love your footy and find yourself free next Thursday, please consider.

Disgrace by the AFL really. Almost as bad as sending us to Geelongistan that time.

I'm not in a position to spend $100+ to go watch a game of footy I'm not emotionally invested in and sit along side the filthy Eagle swine supporters but I'll be there in spirit. Go the Doggies!

If tickets didn't cost an arm and leg and also if the game didn't start at 6:10 which would mean without taking time off work(I would for Freo) then I would probably miss 30 minutes, scheduling nightmare in reality.

The Afl wouldn't pull this shit on the Hawks so why do it to the dogs.

Will be supporting you in spirit too though!

I will be supporting the Bullies however I tend to avoid eagles games because their supporters irritate the hell out of me. Having said that, I did enjoy sitting in a block of Eagles' fans at last years grand final.

Would love to see the Bulldogs pull of the upset but just can't see it happening.

The best spot at Subi for a cheap ticket is the restricted view ones on the boundary near the cameraman at the subi end. I got a ticket to last year's preliminary final for about $70 and the view isn't even blocked at all.

I might be Victorian but unfortunately I cannot bring myself to support the Bullies....no chance of that whatsoever.

My reasons are quite simple

1) I find their supporters to be.....well.......with the greatest of respect, I haven't actually encountered a Bullies supporter on here or at the games who are decent people.
2) I find the media coverage about them incredibly nauseating to say the least
3) They're the only team that actually suffered injuries in 2016 (if you believe the Melbourne media)
4) Luke Beveridge....good coach but an absolute sook to say the least.
5) #freekickbulldogs - any team that gets the rub of the green as often as they do, does not earn my respect in the slightest (umpires in awe of them)
6) They whinged for quite some time about not getting good time slots, 1 good season, let's give them the world and a free pass to the finals with their first 7 games at Etihad
7) Their president
8) Their banners. While some are quite good, sometimes I feel they're trying too hard. I don't have time for that.

In the end I will not be watching the game because I don't give 2 shits but I will be hoping the Eagles win (I've encountered more Eagles supporters that are good people as opposed to Bulldogs supporters)

Yeah I agree with most of this. I know some good WB supporters and I don't mind their President. Their Vice-President is an amazing lady (see Australian Story on her?). But the rest, you are spot on. West Coast should destroy them really.

West coast wont last long in the finals will be celebrating wildly when they get thrashed

They should beat the Bulldogs by 10 goals (mainly because the Sogs are missing way too many of their good players) but can't seen them getting through Hawks/Cats the following week. Will enjoy watching them get eliminated.

Hoping they lose is the only thing to get excited about with finals, as there's good reasons to dislike all the others. Swans (Bondi billionaires and the support they get from the AFL), GWS (ridiculous amounts of support from head office in terms of draft picks and cash), Cats (smug supporters who I've found unbearable since they started winning flags), Bulldogs (reasons mentioned by other posters. Crows and Roos are the least worst.
