So his body is telling him something is wrong and he dismisses it as COVID , then gets himself checked 2 days later after another warning sign.

Could have cost him his life

If this happened Two years ago before COVID , he would surely have acted at the first warning sign.

Yep, good idea to get checked with any sign.

I had a heart attack and thought it was heartburn, 3 months later when I found out, and that was just luck, I went to the doc with something unrelated.

Have you met Robbo or seen him on TV?

If not for covid he would've put it down to heartburn, indigestion, a muscle strain or a chest infection.

That said, very glad he's on the road to recovery.

There are a lot of people who do, I was one of them, I always thought a heart attack was painful, but sometimes they're not, apparently diabetics can feel no pain at all.
Just get checked if you get symptoms, even slight.

Wish him all the best, thought have preferred the show in his absence to be honest. Jason Dunstall has to be the best/most likeable ex player media person surely ?
Dunstall was better, the others were dreadful tbh. Never minded Robbo too much, and he's always an easy laugh.

I've never understood why 360 has the same hosts every night and same guest each week when Fox footy have such a deep line up of talent at their disposal.

Gerard and Robbo are a nice combination for Monday nights but to stretch through the week they should always mix in Dunstall, Riewoldt, Huddo etc.

Agreed. They get a bit monotonous and it would be good to get some variety.

Definitely not painful. Mine was a slight squeezing of the chest whilst driving. Drove myself to my GP. Next thing I know open heart surgery, multiple flatlines post op and still around to witness 3 flags. One minor hiccup...1 week post last years GF, my defib went off. Bounced out onto the street from my driveway. I blame Geelong for that 1st half.

Mine was a faulty valve that led to major issues...including my electricals now being farked because of what happened.

Feel anything in your chests...just go to the docs for a checkup.

Sounds like you had a great time.

I had double bypass and new valve, everything went fine.

It's fun isn't it, going into hospital feeling ok, coming out feeling like crap.

Yeah and outside of genetics, nearly all of them are caused by obesity or obesity related problems.
Oh wow, you are so wrong.

I admit I am overweight, but my brother also had a heart attack is fit as a fiddle, another brother is 75 and is fat as, as he fine, got checked and nothing.

While in rehab, 1/4 the patients in there were not over weight, one was a fitness instructor.

So yes, if you are overweight, and live unheathy, you are at a higher risk, but anyone can have heart problems.

Hope Robbo will be okay. More important realities appear in these times, the family is number 1, hope they hang in there. The job and footy is all dressing.

As Jerry Seinfeld would say, having said that, Jason is such a superior tv performer, it's a significant quality shift. I do like Robbo's emotional outbursts. But really his journalism is trash, and he can treat people in the industry like shiite under the flag of it is his job to break the facts no matter what. Having said that, he must be pulling in a large loyal readership. Having said that, they are probably mostly middle school dropouts with minute vocabularies. Having said that, I'm all for the the man under the system's boot, who is being stomped on every day. And having said that, hope Robbo gets back to normal soon to provide succour to the hoipolloi.

A strong reminder that obesity and unhealthy lifestyles can cost you your life. Maybe it’s time the government did something about our obesity epidemic.
True but you can be fit and still drop dead. One of my Uncles used to give his brother a hard time about being unfit he used to run a lot. Got home one day after a run with another brother had a massive heart attack dead before he hit the floor. The brother he used to give a hard time to is still fighting fit 15 years later.

Yeah took me around 2.5 years post op to start feeling ok. It took them 2 years to tune the defib to the point where I wouldn't feel shit almost all day.

It's actually what the St Kilda bloke has had implanted...Dylan Roberton. That's why when he made his comeback, I was blown away. Firstly, no knocks on the device. Secondly, his heart rate would be around the 200 mark (if not over) for a large chunk of the game. How they can tune the device so quickly to accomodate such a high heart rate had me baffled.

Nah mate. I had mine when I turned 50. I have always been fit (low body fat), ran all my life, lifted weights, cross fit etc... Yeah I loved a drink and a smoke but my issues had nothing to do with obesity or bad arteries etc... I know plenty of runners (serious runners) who have dropped dead whilst out on runs. Obesity and unhealthy lifestyles is just one category.

So how do you know it isn’t genetics?

Amazing the number of clowns in here who think they can diagnose and evaluate somebody’s health thru a TV.

Maybe people could just wish him well and move on. Or if they don’t wish to, just move on.
