Every player who played a game trough the season for the premiership team should get a medal.

Anyone else agree? they all contributed in some way.
Absolutely. Every game is vital in even getting to a grand final, so it makes sense to congratulate everyone that played a part. It's a farce when players miss out on a medal after playing most of the season, but missing out through injury or whatever just before the GF.

He didn't tag today though was just set free.
Really? Were you there at the G?

I was at the ground & saw Langford absolutely slaughter KJ for the entire 1st half, then get released when the game was all but over during the 3rd....

Agree to disagree though

Pretty forgettable game. That's the second year that I've had mates over at mine, after last year. I think it's a bad omen for the quality of the game..

FWIW, I picked Langford for the Norm Smith during the second quarter, as I was expecting a big 3rd quarter (picked Brian Lake about the same time last year)

Hawthorn are the best structured team coached by the best coach in the AFL with a majority of their players at their peak.

The 2014 Hawthorn team would be in the top 3 teams in the modern era - considering how professional the game is now a days and how they dismantled Sydney, another titan team.

Incredible to watch them as a team.

TDL posted this on instagram, went to the game and was supporting the Hawks, wowzers. No lingering sentiments for the Swans with him then.

Best team of the modern era IMO. If Geelong are considered the best team ever they're in the conversation at the very least.
12 flags in the last 53 years.... Absolutely eclipses every single team in the AFL for best club in the modern era

No other club even comes close to those numbers

During the last quarter Bruce McAveney, pull out a stat that said that there are 20 players who had left St Kilda and then played in a Premiership. My question Who were they?

1 Ben McEvoy 2014
2 Luke Ball 2010
3 Dean Rice 1995
4 Russell Green 1983, 1986, 1988
5 Val Perovic 1981, 1982
6 Mick Malthouse 1980
7 Ian Stewart 1973
8 Stephen Rae 1973

I reckon most clubs would have same amount given competition has been around for over 100 years!

Actually a good question, the comment struck me during the commentary and have been wondering the same. Out of interest would love to see the completed list too. Not a slight on the club, but rather an historical fact.
