If a Saints fan started this thread id understand that its maybe a 'historical fact'
(Albiet a crap one)
But if I was a Hawks fan id probably rather be celebrating the Flag win with friends rather than go on the Saints board to drop a quote that comes across smacking of arrogance.
Good luck and well done to Ben McEvoy.
And good luck to the Hawks supporters who after a bit of success are already starting to morph into Collingwood supporters.

I must have misheard him but I thought he said that there was only a hand-full of St Kilda players that have a Premiership Medallion. There's the original 18 from 1966 and then there were a couple who had left the club and won them. One now was Big Boy, the other one I thought he was thinking about to make the twenty was Ball.

During the last quarter Bruce McAveney, pull out a stat that said that there are 20 players who had left St Kilda and then played in a Premiership. My question Who were they?
1 Ben McEvoy 2014
2 Luke Ball 2010
3 Brent Guerra 2008, 2013
4 Barry Hall 2005
5 Darryl Wakelin 2004
6 Dean Rice 1995
7 Paul Harding 1992
8 Russell Green 1983, 1986, 1988
9 Val Perovic 1981, 1982
10 Mick Malthouse 1980
11 Stephen Rae 1973
12 Ian Stewart 1973

Geez, how good was Russell Greene. He was playing very good footy for the Saints back in 1974 at just 16 years of age! (Back in the days when there was no minimum age limit.) It's a pity they traded him to Hawthorn just as he was reaching his peak. I seem to recall him saying he was a bit shocked when they traded him, but I guess it worked out better for him in the long run - winning three flags and playing over 300 games. (Although he did miss some good times at the Saints disco because of the trade.)

List of knobs who come on other clubs boards just to point out negative shit instead of just being grateful that thier own club is successful

Was just about to say something similar.

Nail on head.
