My dad just rang me to say that he heard on radio that some GFC member went to go and pick her tickets up and she was denied, and they had no knowledge of them. I spoke to Ticketmaster yesterday and confirmed my seats, but just wondering if anyone else heard it or has had any problems?

Maybe she was doing a swifty and trying to get tickets?

Yep! Have heard that people are going to Ticketmaster with receipt numbers and when they present them, they do not have a seat allocated - could you imagine how @#ssed you would be - you think you have got a ticket and then you dont!!

Just picked up my ticket this morning.. gave the girl my receipt number & it came up with some other guys name... then gave her my credit card & she got my ticket without any dramas... was a brief anxious moment though

When i collected my tickets yesterday from skilled their was an elderly couple who were September members and didnt realise they had to register! They were complaining for about 15 minutes about it to the lady behind counter.

Stiff - if they didn't read the information the club explicitly mailed them about at least twice then these people officially get no sympathy from me - it was well publicised to all members.

For the record, I missed out on the ballot and am bitter and twisted about it :p

I think the issue was that Ticketmaster stupidly released a list with both successful and unsuccessful receipt numbers on it and these people believed that only successful receipt numbers would be put on the list, so they saw their number and assumed they'd got tickets.

Basically, Ticketmaster stuffed up and gave people false hope.
Morons.

yep i agree with BlueNWhite. Stiff s###!! the process was directed to us via email and post a couple of times. it was made very clear. Feel sorry for the people at the window there.

BTW i had a few issues with the idiot at ticketmaster when i went to pick up my ticket. As my new credit card didnt arrive until last week i got my mate to help me out and we went in together a couple of hours ago to pick it up. He signs for it, shows drivers licence etc. No problems right !?
wrong..... according to this tool who says you shouldnt be doing that, oh but he was nice enough to let us off this once :mad:
w##ker!!!
by his logic only credit card holders can go to the GF!!
Did anyone else have this problem??

PS sorry if it has already been covered in previous posts

I registered this year and last for 2 kids tickets, naturally they don't have a credit card so I put down mine which I was told by the club was OK. Not everyone has one. The credit card holder must pick up the tickets. I went to Essendon and was not asked to sign anything, pick up 3 lots including my mums with her CC and ID.

Why you would do that is beyond me. Did anyone see how long the Tickmaster list was? And in no sort of order IIRC. I checked the Ticketmaster site and the GFC site to be double sure, then rang them up to find out where we were sitting (well, standing in my case but not complaining one iota).

I'm at odds why they would release unsuccessful numbers. It's devastating as it is to miss out, let alone with false hopes induced...

They were just saying that they cant do anything and that all the tickets had been allocated. They were still talking to the lady behind counter when i was leaving lol. was annoying because it made the que take longer

Me and my mate are 17 and 18 and registered for the ballot using my old mans credit card. When we found out we were successful we both gave our student id cards and the form with the receipt number on it to my old man and he went in and signed for them and picked them up no worries. I'm sure its common practice for many who don't have credit cards. Some people just like making up rules.

What if Lots of Money has been taken from your Credit Card!
Then you would have Tickets, right?!
But, seriously, Ticketmaster are overpaid Muppets that have no brains!:mad::mad::thumbsd::thumbsd::thumbsd:
