He took it. It was rated by one WA paper as the third greatest mark of all time.

Mitchell was literally standing straight up, with his feet planted high on Greg Wilkinson’s back when he took this gem on the wing of Subiaco Oval. During a career racked by head injuries, Mitchell made it almost a weekly habit to launch himself into the stratosphere, before thudding back into the turf with the ball in his hands. Mitchell, however, said his penchant for sitting atop packs was more luck than skill. “``Yeah I got lucky a few times,'' Mitchell said. ``I think it just happened.
