The great one, DIEGO FORLAN has delivered Manchester United to the Champions League 2nd Round.

The great one struck in the 85th minute to give United a 1-0 win over the mighty PAO.

One bandwagon I jumped off very early in the group stage.

BTW, good to see that Beckham is proving what a world class player he is, when allowed to express himself.:D

You have to understand that unlike Arsenal, Real with their European pedigree consider the group stage to be a mere formality.

As a Real bandwagoner, I take my cue from the team and do not get on board until at least the QF stage.

I saw the highlights on the English Foxtel Sportline this morning and would prefer to describe it as the goal that proves the law of averages ie if Forlan has enough shots, eventually one will go in.

If Postiga played for United, I assume you'd be saluting his finishing too?

All together now....Are you Andy Cole in disguise?

If Forlan had the chances Postiga gets, he'd put them away. Forlan is a decent finisher, he's just too bloody inconsistant. Postiga has had a bunch of gimmies for a striker and fluffed them all.

Fergie is a believer.

From Red Issue:

Ferguson:

“We bought Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at 24 and he has developed
fantastically well. I'm confident Diego will do the same.
What has helped him is having the chance to play regularly.
He is improving all the time and that is five goals now this
season, which is a good return from the games he has played.

"Whenever you buy a young player, you know you are not
getting the finished article. What you have is potential.
When we signed Diego we had just lost Dwight Yorke, Andy
Cole and Teddy Sheringham and we were looking for a young
striker. He has established himself now. Sometimes,
tactically we prefer to play one man behind a central
striker but the form he has shown recently, it is difficult
to leave him out.”
