Re: Cool Sim Site

Aarakan, for OT, do the following things....

With your skill points there is one lot on the left and a specials on the right.
Add 1 point to the Pass Block and 1 point to the run block on the right, or 2 each.
Focus on the left tho....the major skills you should focus on are: strength, blocking, agility, vision, stamina, confidence. Try to give more to strength and blocking, but spread them out to those others.

Then create equipment. Each one allows you to add another skill point to something. Again, choose strength, blocking mainly. Then do custom, and here you have 6 more points to allocate. Again spread them out like that, most to strength, blocking, but the others mentioned. All up with the equipment thing, you're trying to ensure all those attributes of strength, blocking, agility, vision, stamina and confidence are being addressed.

Then click equip on all of them. Then go to advanced tactics and select Power runner, pass-block, and wrap tackler. Then make your training relaxed, concentrating on say vision or stamina. Make your player play Intense. And choose profile to allow ONLY TEAM MEMBERS to view.

Then boost by buying 1,000 points thru paypal. Select all three levels boost and you'll have another 15 points to allocate. Again do all those things.

Remember do all this after we sign you.

Also, i think Tackling skill might be worth skilling up.

OT needs are: strength, blocking, confidence (mainly) and then close behind vision, agility, stamina, and tackling maybe too.

Vision or stamina would be a good one to choose for your relaxed training.
OT
Major: Strength, Blocking, Confidence, Agility, Vision
Minor: Tackling, Stamina

My two favorite players are Bullocks and Hood.
Fine then :(

lol :D

Whole team is great IMHO... Hard to pick favourites (When you aren't looking at your own boys of course)

AndRoberts better try passing to THE COG more than once, and it better be on target this time round (unlike last games single pass in his direction :p)

Im a good talent evaluator. I knew Hood and Bullocks were guns just by looking at a few things.

As for QB, I think tonight is Peter Manning's debut game. Big occasion, playoff implications. There's a 50-50 battle for starter job, and he's gonna have to impress because Roberts in just 1 start and 1 back-up role (10 snaps) really impressed.

Re: Cool Sim Site

Favourite player that isn't Bartley? Whoever is his snapper or the one holding the ball down for him would be my pick.

Remember, no losses allowed, I expect no screw ups from Manning and Roberts, in the case they screw don't forget that you've got an instant three points if you let Bartley on the field, he has played a major role for the points so far due to the lack of conversions. So bloody convert them! 6 points is better then 3! We've got a tough match against what would be the team with the best name hands down next, so set us up! (Why is the Alpha Conferance so strong?)

BTW, is there a pacticular limit to when the kicker comes out? I've noticed that not many kickers have tried from 50 out, the highest for Bartley has been 48, is there an option that allows you to choose when the kicker comes out or when the punter comes out?

Bartley has been a rock of Gibralta for the Battlers. He's nailed many 40 yarders. Not many K's around GLB even make 20 yarders. A lot of them miss, a lot dont have the legs to make 50. Bartley is a gun. He's a big reason why our Kicking category is so high, like 36 compared to most teams 21 ranking.

What's weird too is that McBriar (P) has been doing a number of 18 yard punts from deep in his territory. Must be a bug, because i saw some complaining and replays given how all these punters are only getting 18-20 yard punts occuring.

Balls Mckenzie.....contract signed. Beastly 6'6" and 284. Just needs to level up now.

With MacArthur at LOT being 6'5" and with McKenzie at ROT at 6'6", we'd have a pretty beastly OL when you also factor in the low-center of gravity immovable 6'0" 300 lb objects we have at Guard and Center.

Done. Hopefully will be off some use to the team, although kickers don't tire as much.
Will be interesting to see what happens with the subbing. Doubt a kicker would tire that much, but you never know. Maybe Bartley's been leg-weary after all those 45 yarders. Sometimes real NFL teams use one kicker for kick-offs only, and one for FGs. If we had that here, we could've XP'd him up that way. Keeping Bartley fresh for 50 yarders.

Get his name and sign him. Good back-up value.
A backup kicker? are you friggen serious? I've never heard such a proposterous suggestion in my life. FFS - are you frightened he might get tired from 10 kicks a game?

Lol. Take it easy!
Anyway, you see it all the time in the NFL, kickers get injured and tire. Quite a number of them had operations even.

Next year, with injuries and stuff, we're gonna need good back-ups at all positions. Currently, for instance, at Guard say, we're gonna need 2 LOT, 2 ROT, and a 5th player purely to sub between the two. That kinda thinking is gonna be needed next season. Bird could even stay RB too right now. And I was reading up on the suggestions forum how Admin are gonna fix the whole STs thing, by making a whole depth chart for that alone to allow team owners to pool their back-ups into playing STs only and allowing the main players to rest and not be sub'd into the STs depth chart. Cos what happens I read is that even if you have say Asmund NOT on the STs depth chart, if the existing guys on STs are tired Asmund will somehow be used even tho he's already tired.

Re: Cool Sim Site

Speaking of backups, if injuries are going to come in, then I think we should have ready supply for all positions. So maybe we do need a 3rd QB when the injuries come into the game.

As for Bort, maybe it'll do wonders if he could become a dual player with both Kicking and Punting...wait a sec, our kicking stat has gone down! Bugger...oh well, better keep it up.

I've noticed that a kicker with 58 kicking is worse then a kicker with 48 kicking, but the 48 had 32 in confidence while the 58 only had 21, so there's a big rank boost there it seems...I better get on to it after I increase the kicking to the next whole number, I'm doing this to save money needed to by better equipment when Bartley reaches level 8 so it can be bought instantly and give more of a boost, There's more then $2000 in the bank now, so it's looking good here, money is not a problem. But I hear it costs $2500 for each piece!

Injuries are coming in next season. But it wont be injuries where your player misses games, but more like they lose a chunk of their energy and/or skill points, depending on the severity. So in the end, it will kinda be the same, where you'll therefore need a back-up to come in until the starter is 100% healthy again.

Also, penalties will be coming in next year too. Facemasking, holding, off-sides etc. Damn, that's gonna really cause havoc with who we see as starters too. Could find my own McArthur is a penalty machine tho he's lvl 10 and therefore gets benched.
