Which goals to do look back on & wished the opposition had never kicked & why?

Darren Bloody Jarman, nuff said!

Robbie Flower, we were terrible in the early '80 & Melbourne were worse. One season they only won one game, against us at the Whitten Oval courtesy of a Robbie Flower mark with the final kick of the game.

Mark Arceri, playing for Carlton who were goal less right upto the last 30 seconds of play when Steve MacPherson gave away a free kick & he dobbed it from 50 with a sodden wet ball. I'd loved to have kept them bastards goal less!

Jeff White, goal from a dodgy free kick against Wayde Skipper to kill off our finals chances.

Winston Abraham, against Freo late on in R1 at Optus Oval in 1997. He kicked it from about 75 metres & it bounced about 15 times into an unguarded forward line & trickled through for a Docker's win.

Leigh Matthews, kicked 2 late goals to get the Hawks over the line in the '85 Prelim.

I was at that game where Jeff White got that free kick. Bloody skipper just had to give him a free kick didn't he?. Aw well.

Sampi, round 1 2004 at the Telstra Dome on the run to win it for the Weagles. Less than a year after we stuffed up in Perth and gave it to him to draw it for them.

Would have been a great start to the season after getting the spoon. Would have probably had Jade Rawlings happy to have been railroaded onto our team by teh Rhodester and would have made my first week of having Foxtel not feel like a terrible waste of money!

mark mercuri, rd 22 1996 - cost the great man a brownlow - for the first time.

Not Skipper's fault. Jeff White came storming from the side, ran into Skip and fell over and the ump paid a free. Skipper was standing his ground.

The 10 that Lyon kicked in the 94 Semi...
The 9 that Brownless kicked in the 92 Qualifying...
Doug's first when playing for Fitzroy...
Derm's goal against us whilst playing for Collingwood at Waverley (95?) that wasn't a goal...

These are the ones boys and girls. In '85 we had Essendon's measure - IMO. Mathews had done nothing all game, Hardie was killing him and then in the space of 10 minutes Mathews turns the game on its head. Still have nightmares.

'97 was the year that we all know got away. Even though Jarman kicked the goals I still to this day beleive that is was Wallace and Rehn that won the game for the Crows. Rehn just took Windy apart in that last quarter (on a side note I rekon we just never saw the best of rehn because of that damn center bounce pad). And Wallace for not getting Granty into the game and leaving Wynd in the ruck when he was not giving a contest in the last quarter.

Libba's Goal..........for not being paid:mad::mad:

rd 22 Cook giving away the 50 to ??? cant think of who, giving north the win and top position, What would have happened if we ended on top :o

Nigel Smart was killing us at CHF while Chris Grant was freezing his bum at FF.
Darren Jarman was killing Todd Curley while our 1st choice FB, Steve Kretiuk was on the bench.

Wallace cost us that game, mose so than Jarman, Rehn or the goal umpire.

All the ones that have been mentioned above hurt, this one isn't as significant but still hurt a bit. McLeod kicked a goal from the boundary, about 40m out in 2003 at AMMI to put the Crows in front late in the last 1/4 after we had lead by 4 goals at 3/4 time.

We were pathetic that year and it finally looked like it would be our day, but they stuffed it up again.

I wasn't around back then, but I've spoken to the old man about that exact game and he said the exact same thing.

He had 20 touches to half time before Rhode put Robbins on him.

I don't think he touched the ball in the third quarter, but then tore us a new one in the last.

We'd lost something like seven in a row before that game.

Yeah because we continued to kick the ball straight down his throat from every kick out. Smart was jumping to top of Wynd and co., but for some strange reason we kicked the ball to the same spot on every occasion.

Nigel Smart always dominated against the dogs, he was always the one that Adelaide had and we didn't. I always blamed him for being so bald that his head blinded our players, but seriously he had a knack for defeating the bulldogs.

Great nominations.

In order:

1) Darren Jarman
2) Billy Brownless
3) Jeff White
4) Mark Mecuri
5) Leon Cameron - 2001
6) Winston Abraham - 1997

Agrred, however the one that really pissed me off was the Alistair Lynch goal, followed by the "choke" to Westy. Our finals campaign was on its last breath, but that hurt.

lol i was sitting right near the contest. As soon as the UMP blowed his whistle i said f####n hell Skipper. My mate a Melbourne supporter said Jeff will never kick the goal. I disagreed see when you get those feeling when something in a game is just against you and you know he will kick the goal from the boundary line 100 meters out. Well yes i had that feeling. As soon as Jeff put boot to ball i just went F###.

Ever since then to be honest Skipper has been coping some slack and not been trusted for some reason.

The number one goal/goals that broke my heart was Jarmen enough said.:(
