Brad Johnson on the goal line at Manuka (Canberra) back in 2005 in the dying seconds to win the game. Those 4 points cost us a double chance at season's end. But I don't expect to get much sympathy here for that one.

Don't forget Mike Richardson sitting on the shoulders of Matthew Campbell on the mark. What about Simon Beasley having a set shot for goal to win on the final siren (or had he marked the ball just before it went - long time ago) at Carrara v the Bears and a whole bunch of Bears rent-a-fans ran on the ground and got in his way. He missed and the Bears won. Security very lax that day.

Do you know the worst thing about the Jarman goal that burns? IMO we would have gone on and won the grand final. Unfortunately Nicky Winmar and Stewart Lowe had deaths in the family grand final week so they played under difficult circumstances. Consequently Adelaides half back line kicked about 8 between them. Mc Leod had a field day, so did Smart and Shane Ellen kicked 3 from half back.
(
Winmar's father died midweek but Loewe didn't lose a family member - his marriage broke down in, er, rather unconventional circumstances.
I hadn’t heard that one before!Mines got to be the goal theat wasnt paid, 1997 Prelim final, when Libba kicked the goal and the goal umpire gave it a point. I was sitting in the top deck of the Northern Stand with my sister and we both saw it was a goal! Thats one goal and one game that will always break my heart.
These are the ones boys and girls. In '85 we had Essendon's measure - IMO. Mathews had done nothing all game, Hardie was killing him and then in the space of 10 minutes Mathews turns the game on its head. Still have nightmares.
'97 was the year that we all know got away. Even though Jarman kicked the goals I still to this day beleive that is was Wallace and Rehn that won the game for the Crows. Rehn just took Windy apart in that last quarter (on a side note I rekon we just never saw the best of rehn because of that damn center bounce pad). And Wallace for not getting Granty into the game and leaving Wynd in the ruck when he was not giving a contest in the last quarter.
Bit younger then most here but the ones I remember most are: Melbourne in 05, 09 prelim (ffffffuuuuuu Nick Riewolt), Johnsons two misses after the siren and Akers 300th (So many free kicks missed in the last minute)
Jarman and Brownless are the 2 that really burn (Jarman actually missed an easier set shot a couple of minutes earlier to put them in front), but Riewoldt's last 2 goals in the 09 prelim aren't far behind. First one was from a strong grab after St Kilda won back possession after an Akermanis deliberate OOB on the wing (if only the umpire swallowed his whistle like the umpire did for Tarrant's obvious deliberate OOB on Friday night), second one was off the deck in ther goal square to finally kill us off - again they won possession from a ruck infringement against Hudson when we had good field position to press hard. Daggers in the heart both of them.
What is worse, are the missed shots in Prelims that broke your heart!
