At the start of the year I backed Goddard eachway for the brownlow at $151.

Is he a chance you guys watch the Saints more than I do?

Outside chance imo. He has enough games where he could poll to win it, but I reckon he'll lose votes to Dal, Montagna and Hayes regularly.

The award is suppose to be given to the best player, not someone whos beaten 'most' of the mids. Dont see Goddard winning it tbh. I see montagna being quite prominent and swan.

goddard won't win it because the award shouldn't just go to the best midfielder, but rather the best overall player. Instead it should go to Swan or Joey, who both play in the midfield.

the umpires love his type ... classy, skillful, poised ... and he has polled well before.

i reckon he's picked up six in the first two rounds, so he got off to a flyer ... and has been pretty consistent throughout.
