I hope the AFC watch a tape of the first quarter to clearly show them the advantages of using the ball with great efficiency and kicking the ball quickly, long and direct through the central corridor. It was a pleasure to behold and resulted in 7 goals.

Why dont we do that each week!

Roo, nearly sent my remote through the TV at the end of the second quarter when he kicked the ball wide to no one in particular, rather than going down the guts. It resulted in a costly turnover and a goal to the opposition. This is the bad Adelaide and needs to be exorcised so that it does not appear ever again at the club.

Remember QLD - it is the only way to go and that is why you need a good spine and why we should all be much happier today after seeing Fergus, Hentschell, Rutten, all getting game time and Kenny once again showing why he will be a key player for the Crows for many years to come.

Agree with most of that except the "minimum efficiency" bit. ;)

By "QLD" you mean the Brisbane Lions, I assume?

Sorry Dave - late night post - took out minimum in my latest edit.

QLD - quick, long and direct.

Apart from that end of 1st quarter goal burst, I thought we actually spent most of the game playing the flanks. Actually thought the Bullies were better than us at squaring the ball up back through CHF than we were. Then again, for most of the day we were playing dual CHF's on the flanks, with a small such as Skippy or Stiffy at CHF proper.

agree the Dogs did go direct to goal a lot more than the AFC and our players still like to hold on to the ball and wait and wait and wait...frustrating at times but still signs were good today that they did show that they were prepared to take more risks and back themselves!

players are still missing their TARGETS too much tho...will take time to iron out all the little creases but with confidence comes greater skill (usually :p )

and WTF was with the umpires...paying bulls**t "holding the man" frees grrrrrrrr (they were consistent tho but consistently sh**) ...Kenny takes a contested mark and gets the ball taken off him...when u cld clearly see Kenny's stomach!! what the...?
