no id say more like johnson and brown
hmm but they were in the first 22 from the start of the yr..?
there is no chance that maxwell will get dropped! his contribution is far greater then the stats he represents!Hope he's back soon to replace Maxwell/Wakelin
Had a very interrupted pre season, so really had no fitness coming into the season.
Then broke his nose and hurt his knee against brisbane, which didnt help his cause to find form or fitness for that matter, played against north looked totally lost and has sturggled to get his fitness playing vfl form
Yeah....but it looks like something else too Opti. Having seen all his VFL games, and seen him in the rooms, I get a sense, nothing more, that he aint happy with the world. Of course it could be just his form getting him down but he's just playing so uncharacteristically - no throwing himself at the contest, no diving for the pill, no reckless abandon. I'm wondering whether that busted nose hit also knocked his confidence around a bit. He's really only a very skinny kid after all and who knows how much he really got hurt?
Yes it can be very difficult to get over a bad collilsion injury - might take a while to overcome his body's automatic fear/recoil reaction to avoid collisions. I used to ride a motorbike like a maniac, wahs great fun until I had a nasty accident due to an idiot driver. AFter that it wasn't much fun and I rode a lot more carefully and with a lot of fear. Good lesson on the road, butr in footy you are required to get back to the reckless attack, this time with the memory of what it's like to get a bad injury and the long painful recovery that was involved. Maybe I'm wrong and this isn't a factor with Goldsack, but anyway he'll be a great player and just has to get back into form - I think he'll be playing great footy again this season and will be important in the finals.Yeah....but it looks like something else too Opti.
