Should be a cracker of a game.

Great to see one of the oldest and one of the newest clubs in the League eyeing each other.

Will be great to start a rivalry with you guys.

I am sick of hearing the Carlton v Collingwood, Essendon v Collingwood etc alway being touted as traditional rivalries. In ten years i hope to hear of the traditional rivalry between Freo and the Saints.

A coupla years ago - who-da thunk it?

Kind of surreal really - and I'm still not used to thinking that freo go into any game with better than an even chance (most times, even when we are clear favourites, I still spend most of the games with fingers and toes crossed. Years of conditioning!! ).

Hope it's a cracker - Freo by 8 points!

Looking forward to this game almost as much as the derby.. and I have a feeling this could be a better game.

2 most exciting lists in the competition at the moment imo.. i'm hoping for a cracker regardless of result unlike the majority of low scoring affairs we've had so far.. a game like the geelong one wouldnt go astray.

(that said.. we better bloody win )

Freo doesn't get the media attention it should in Melbourne. You lot have a great list and deserve to be favourites this game.

Doesn't stop me from wanting a 20 goal victory. Oh well i can dream.

PS - Chris Connelly look like a terrific coach. Great promoter of the club over here in Melb.

Just like another team I know who wear green and purple, thank god for the internet because we hear nothing about you guys in Melbourne. So it should be the start of a great rivalry, look for the Saints and Dockers to fight it out in the next 5-6 Grand Finals.

Just hope for a good game, Saints in a close one for me(there really is know logical reason to tip the saints, but have).

There's not much hope of a genuine rivalry happening if we can't beat each other away. So let's hope that the Saints can get the ball rolling by pipping the mighty Dockers at home in a fairly contested but tight and tough match.

The fairytale nail-biting finish should be replete with a last second freakish mark in front of goal and an after-the-siron match-winning major.

Whatever the outcome, I'm sure the respect I have for Freo and their supporters will only grow greater.

With what I saw today, I don't think you'll have to worry about us beating you any time soon, twas pathetic by us and we need to improve. Good game by the Saints though, ya just choked the life out of us in the first half and the damage was done.

I'm proud of our supporters today staying right till the end. Although I think the opposite of our players who didn't even show up untill half time!
