Well done Geelong, good win and totally dominated us in the second half.

Would of been nice if you only beat us by a couple of goals, now we have to put up with all the idiots in the main forum saying how we are done, pretenders, crap, useless, how Hawthorn are the best thing since sliced bread etc.

Again, well done guys and I hope you shut the Hawks fans up next week. :thumbsu:

Thanks mate - you really challenged in the first half - might be seeing you again *late* in September :) We'll be trying to do the same (or more ;)) to the Hawks next week :D

Re: Well done

yeah well done CATS ... and a slightly predictable win in my opinion even without some key players - great to see the Dog's put in their place , it justified my theory !

if you ask me, there's 2 teams that have semi arsed their way to the positions they are in & gaining a misleading reputation = Bulldogs & Hawthorn.

of the 08 teams, for me, there really is only a genuine top 5

Geelong ( The most consistant performers, unselfish )
Bulldogs ( mmm, fast paced , but maybe lucky on several occasions so far )
Hawthorn ( some very 'close' lucky wins, sometimes inaccurate)
Collingwood (inconsistant, performs with huge matches though ..watch out !)
Sydney ( inconsistant, but great on their good day)

That's it ! ...all have potentual to beat each other on their good days.

Yep, congratulations to Geelong on the great win.

You gave us a football lesson and showed us what intensity is required for finals football.

Good luck for the rest of the season and hope we give a better performance if we meet again in the finals.

Much respect to the Kennel.

Played it hard but fair, perhaps a few guys not quite on their game today and the weather didn't help.

Keep punching on and we'll see you boys at the pointy end of the season. :thumbsu:

Re: Well done

Congrats Cats. You utterly pantsed us in the second half.

Well done and hope you smash the Hawks.

Same here.

But we don't need Hope. We just need reality. And the reality is we are better than them and will smash them into submission. :):thumbsu:

I wouldnt worry, it will only last a week. Bulldogs are better than hawthorn still in my opinion.

True catman forever they do have the best supporters on here by a mile.

Well done today Geelong. We gave everything up until half time, yet in the 3rd qtr you guys just turned it on. Can't see anyone else getting close to you guys.

BTW how good was Cam Mooney today.

Mooney did do well, his team work from the first three quaters was rewarded in the last with a few goals a touches.

Anyone remeber Milburns stats at quarter time? kicks, handballs marks?

Well done Cats, far to good. I hope we gave you at least a little bit of the challenge you were hoping for. Well done to a majority of your posters for handling the win in a classy way. Good luck for the rest of the season.

dasher was an absolute champion, as always. absolutely magic effort from all the boys. vegas was fantastic!

does anyone know who they were wearing black armbands for today?

it's ok, i found out.

it was in memory of a lifelong cats fan, a very good friend of mine who passed away from cancer last friday. so grateful to the club and the boys for that, it meant so much to the family and all her friends.

Thanks Dogs for a game a footy without the thuggery, great first three quarters good to watch teams play hard and fair

Well done today Cattters, second half was fantastic for you guys and it was disappointing to fall away like we did.

Never give up that home ground (not that you will anyway), while only one of many reasons you guys beat us today its unique shape makes it so hard for opposition teams and the Cats played it beautifully today.

Good luck for the rest of the year.

Great to be able to play football instead of the crap last week

It shows 2 great teams that respresent their club with great football on the field can admire each other

I for one am proud that the Bulldogs are my second team
