he has a good game?

Leon has always had a good game in him...he just shows it one in ten. For all his potential and skill, he just doesnt dish it out often enough. The last game he actually made any sort of difference in was against Freo last year.

I hope the guy succeeds, grows a leg, do whatever he needs to do as I actually like him as a player when he's on.

So how much do I know anyway?

he definetly made a differnce in my eyes on friday night. are you saying that when he kicked that goal from the boundry he didn't inspire the team?? and when we were coming back in the third quarter he was getting kicks left front and centre. When leon gets the ball and takes off the crowd go crazy and the players know something sepcial will happen.

He made no difference...we lost by 73 points. I'm glad for his sake he played well though. And yes he lights up the place, he gets people excited. I'd love to see him do it with some consistency thats all. Thats probably the biggest thing when calling yourself a good player...consistency.

i hate how people single him out tho...the only person who is consistent at collingwood is bucks and jimmy

I agree, but how many times would he have played in the midfield twice in a row?

Malthouse for some reason seems to play him most games up forward, where he's clearly not up to it.

Where has hotpie gone? Good on ya Leon, he's hitting the point in his career where he is 24 and soon to be in his prime. I look forward to many more good matches from my favourite player

Good to see Leon lifting his trade value. His "good" football in the past two weeks is pretty much his maximum capacity. He has no future at the club.

The fact that he is nearly 24 is a negative, not a positive. It means he is close to his peak. His peak isnt good enough.

I'm with hotpie. Go Leon. Show 'em all what you can do but don't tell 'em you can't do it more than 3 time a year and only in meaningless games that Collingwood are winning.

I'm not with you guys, but hey, what's changed? No one was with me three months ago on Woey. ;)

Still reckon he can play purely as a midfielder, and would like to see him played there exclusively from here on in.

The bottom line is he has to play better than his best and do it consistently to be the top line player we need in the midfield. It won't happen. He can't be a gun and on that basis it is very risky carrying him expecting him to be a solid contributor based on a 5 year output trend.

Trade him!

Why don't you swap your whole team for Carlton's the see how miserably bad it can get.

Trouble with you lot - you've got no sticking power and you just love sticking the knife into your own lot. Look at poor Sav - you couldn't leave him alone when he was at Collingwood. Who is next?
