Annoying how it doesn't have it's own network options, it actually uses Internet Explorer's one.

For the average home user, yes that would being annoying.
For someone who administers a network of pc's it's a godsend. It means if by some chance a user gets the browser installed, it still uses your group policy on proxy servers. Any of the other browsers it just opens another hole, security wise.

Chrome itself i like. I like the interface, combined address and search bar is great. Good keyboard shortcuts. The download manager seems to work and for me anyway increased download speed. Podcasts from abc.net.au in IE 200k, in Chrome 600k.

People are right it is missing some add-ins, but I am sure the open source community will develop these soon enough.

But somehow it doesn't handle the network options in the same way as IE.

Google chrome doesn't work at my work because of the proxies.

I like it. I feel that it runs faster than IE and Firefox. Truth be told, people always yapped on about how much faster Firefox was than IE but I never actually felt a difference, but when I tried Chrome, the change, in my opinion, was instantly recognisable.

As mentioned before, the OmniBar are awesome box is pretty mad. Obviously this browser is designed for speed and productivity.

However, I have realised that a couple of things with Facebook don't work for me, but then again, it's still in beta, right?

Like the minimal interface and haven't encountered very many sites where I experience problems. Like process independence per tab and the tab encapsulating UI. Omnibar, or whatever it is called, seems very obvious now that I've used it... surprised other browsers haven't designed the UI this way.

Given my abhorrence of ads though it normally doesn't take me long to switch back to Firefox with AdBlock.

I had literally forgotten about flash and animated gif advertising I've been using AdBlock for so long... this will definitely stop me using Chrome on a regular basis until a similar feature is developed.

I'm loving it so far. Downloaded it on Saturday, and it was quite slow to start with, but it really started kicking arse last night. Love it long time. Craps all over IE, but I haven't tried Firefox as a comparison.

Well you have been missing out then. Firefox shits all over IE, and basically any other browser will look good next to it.

I haven't tried Chrome yet, was going to trial it but likka has put me off. No AdBlock? No thanks. I couldn't use a browser which was full of ads.

Liking it so far. Certainly faster than FF. Will play around with it on my laptop before I go ahead an use it on my main PC. Will keep using FF, just due to the features that offers. Interested to see how GC goes. I can definitely see it rivaling FF in terms of popularity.

I never use IE and can't see why people do. It's horrid. I only use it for a program at work that is designed for IE (sigh).

I use host files so I don't see any ads regardless of the browser.

We lost our DNS server at work for the last few days, (****ing French overlords) I've been configuring host files non stop so my servers can talk to each other. :)

This is now turning into a very good browser with a lot of extensions inc. an https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/account/upgrades ;)
