Just having a browse of the rules and found this:
"NOTE that in the 2010 competition, players who are actually named and in the starting 22 for any match, AND score a 0 for any reason, will NO LONGER be replaced by an emergency. Their 0 score will also have an affect on their value, being recorded as having played a game. "
... so does this mean that when the teams come out, and a player is names, even if they are injured or withdrawn before the game starts, you emergency's score isnt used ?!
or does it mean that come game time if you player is listed as playing, and gets injured, say in warmup/first 30 secs, or just does utterly crap, that in that instacne his zero score would count?
Coz the first option would almost render emergency's useless wouldn't it..?
If the player is a late withdrawal then he will not be "in the starting 22". It will only apply to players who play and score 0 (happened 4-5 times last year with players who got injured before they could register a stat).
