Grand Final - who do we hope wins?

I'm just hoping to see a close brutal encounter.

As a South supporter, Geelong have "sort of" been my 2nd side in the AFL (pre-Crows) and until now i've been tending to hope they win this GF (especially since i dislike many St Kilda players), however, i have changed my thoughts and now really want St Kilda to win it purely for their long suffering supporters whom i have great empathy with - waiting since 1966 just as i have waited since 1964 for the Panthers).

The real shame of the AFL is that so many of those long suffering supporters are denied the chance of attending the game in favour of the theatre-goers.

Like the panther above, I want to see a close match. I really enjoyed last years game (in fact the year before was pretty good too despite not being close:)) so another epic battle will be great. I would hate to see a blowout as that would bore me a bit.

I don't really care who wins but I will probably find myself jumping on a bandwagon at some stage in the match like last year with the Hawks.

But St Kilda....you've got Milne, Kozi, Goddard, Riewoldt, Schneider...so many ****ing annoying as all hell players. And there is this air of arrogance around the club, like winning the flag is a formality from here. You'd think the fans after so much pain would be hoping and appreciating the footy they're playing rather than strutting around like idiots, but nope, all of a sudden they are god's gift to football and we as the inferiors have to bow down. I just hate that sort of crap and hope they get their comeuppance on Saturday. Go you cats!
+1 :footy:

Although I find St.Kilda's play style rather boring and I dislike many of their players, it would be funny to see Geelong be clear favourites 2 grand finals in a row and lose both.

Goodwin and Vince have run in the last two grand final sprints haven't they? Otten isn't a total snail mind you, just looks it with that loping stride.

Would be nice to see how one of our genuinely quick players goes once in a while though...Petrenko or someone like that.

One thing about watching the pre-match coverage yesterday, it was very depressing because our team wasn't there.

Glad the Cats won as the Saints in 100+ years haven't won as many as us! :thumbsu:

Easy Geelong........

Varcoe to get Norm Smith

The Human Llama Reiwoldt to be reported for Diving and get 2 weeks

wtf-pics-llama-tackle.jpg

The StKilda fans to cry on mass and complain about the Umpiring

Milne and Schnieder to get 11 touches between them. 2 of these will be out of the full.

Sorry to intrude guys but I couldn't let this one go.......

Aside from the 2nd and 3rd predictions you were pretty much spot on! Lots of crying about the umpiring, and Milne and Schneider did jacksh*t except miss sitters in front of goal or play for frees any time an opponent walked past them.

And I had to laugh at "Riewoldt the Human Llama" - the resemblance is uncanny!!!
