I've been smashing out the single player over the last week or so, first time I've played this gen, still an awesome game. I think I'll give Online a shot for the first time when I wrap up soon.

Is there some sort of guide anyone can recommend for starting out in Online, that was written in 2013?

It will all be about leveling up and making $$.. best way these days is grinding out missions imo. If u can get into a 5-6 player mission grind you will do well.

1st car you should buy is the armored kuroma

For races aim to have 1 of each class... especially sports, super and motorbike

Try and get the helicopter when u can..very handy

That's most the basics I think

Don't forget the heists as well.

What is the best way to earn cash?
So far I have an apartment (200k odd) and 2 cars (Corvette lookalike, and GT40 lookalike)
Can't ever see myself having enough to buy a Tank or Yacht, not unless I put some serious hours into the game

Missions. Heists if you have time and 3 others. Generally though missions you can grind quite quickly and earn 10-20k each one

Ive only been involved in one successful heist
Even the lead up missions, someone always ends up dead

Thats the risk..you can make good $$ when it goes smoothly. It can end up wasting time if people stuff up. It doesnt take long to make the same money if you can get in a group grinding the 6 player missions. Both good options still. I like missions as it doesnt matter if i need to turn off the ps4. Heist you need to commit time

yeah i agree with the yacht, novelty wears off very quickly.

these new races are very good for making quick money and also try and become an associate cause if you stay close to the CEO that increases your RP quickly as well.

My little garage.

Mostly everything gets driven except the Vette. (Just there because I like Corvettes.

Really loving the T20 and my newest purchase the matte black Karuma. Not sure about the T20 colour (tried to match the Mclaren orange. Might put it back to white.
TT is my favorite bike. Fireblade ripoff
The Phoenix and the Schwartzer were stolen. I just like the look of them especially the Phoenix. Put the Camaro grille on it.
Missing my Elegy. Just white with black GTR look alike

As you can see I'm very clean with my designs. No neons or spinners here :)

If you already have 5 garages full worth of cars you are unwilling to sell (like myself), i suppose there isnt much reason to continue playing since theres nothing to work for.

The 20% discount on all Garages & Properties with Garages continues this week – just what you need to accommodate the 3 new vehicles releasing with this update. If you’re already fully maxed out on room in your garages, don’t forget you can always use your second character (and the shared bank account) to open up to 5 more garages, and 50 more parking spaces.

It will have to run all the way through the kitchen to reach it lol. I plan on moving it next to the modem once i buy a tv for the family area.
Shame Xbox works a charm.

I mean, it's not ideal, but can you get away with running it just when playing, then putting it away?

From 2005 until 2009 I used a 50m network cable from where the room with the main computer and modem were to the lounge room :D. I didn't take the risk of using it while others were around - didn't want them to trip over and send my console flying all over the place :D. Have still used an Ethernet cable from time to time (for the ps3, ps4 and 360) because the wifi would suck from time to time. I'd either have port forwarding issues leading to super slow downloads on the 360 (or being booted from multiplayer games like fifa, gears of war 2), or slowwwwwer than slow download speeds on ps3/ps4. When connecting the cable I would at least get 1mb/s ticking over on whatever game I'd download at the time (compared to it ticking over 1mb per every 30-45 seconds).

What's funny is that I too would connect the ps3 (and now ps4) on the kitchen bench. Have set my Xbox One up in the lounge room (I'd put the ps4 there too but it's over crowded enough as it is lol).

I have not played GTA V in well over a year, I played the 360 version on release, finished it and never went back to it. Years later when it finally came out on pc I grabbed it again and played it how it should have been played the first time I played it (sexy graphics, superb frame rate). Finished it, tried online... enjoyed it but ultimately it didn't sustain my interest.

I'd buy it again on either ps4/xbox one if it was ever cheap enough...... but really I'd love more single player story content as opposed to online game updates.

Guess I'll wait for GTA VI (hopefully Vice City revisited!).
