No one's done it 3 times, is that right?

Mate, they mightn't all be worthy of a place on the highlight reel, but I've done it waaaaaaay more times than that.

He Has Lost no 3 peat for Hackett. oh well guess it continues the long run of poor form by the Aussie athletes this Olympics

Got the threepeat in terms of medal wins.

That fella that won it was paying $67 to 1.

If I wasn't in a rush to get to work this morning I would have chucked a lazy tenner on it.

Oh well.

Dedicating themselves for 4 years for this Olympics and then giving their absolute best, albeit coming up short and winning silver or bronze, beats me sitting on my ass on my couch. Don't think any of our swimmers deserve any harsh criticism.

Once again, its obvious that the best qualities can shine when you don't win. Grant Hackett has been exceptional in the media after losing the race he so dearly wanted to win.

My sentiments exactly.

Champion.

He still looked absolutely exhausted at the medal ceremony.

Does anyone think he swam to beat the guy beside him and overlooked the bolter? Happens in horseracing all the time.

I like the way Bruce threw in later that Ossama was returning from a drug suspension. I didn't know that and now I have my doubts about him.

Umm, don't know about whether he was under the influence today, but I think he got off very lightly for his last offence.

Tested positive in Nov 2006 and should have been a straight 2 year ban (which would still be valid). Tunisia gave him a mere warning. FINA intervened and they upped it to 18 month suspension.

I think if you get done, you should be out for life.

Extenuating circumstances... he took a pep pill to study for college exams. Benefit of the doubt.

Agreed. Humble bloke.

Although I thought his offer to change his first name to Can't was laying it on just a little thick.
