As a young fella growing up in the family home we had a wrinkled up older lady my, grandmother. As it was in those days it was common they lived with family
And as you are when you are Very little you ask a lot of, at this point stupid questions.
But one day i happen to ask nan what she thought was the greatest invention she had in her life. To which she thought a moment and replied that it would have to be flushing toilets, and inside ones at that.
I thought nothing of it and went around my business as you do as a kid.
Anyway that came back to me of late and looked at it from her point of view with the holes in the ground, And blue stone alleys behind houses were sh*t carters emptied out dunnys with clip clops from horses at G*d knows what hour of the morning. yes it seem to make perfect sense.

What do you think is the best invention, it doesn't need to be big or you may want one or have seen one ( What ever it is ).

From a purely personal point of you it's the electric razor. I went bald young, and it's been 15 years since I last paid for a haircut, if you're feeling lazy, you can run it over your face too.

Going to assume you mean mp3 players, considering they were around long before Apple jumped on the bandwagon and pretended they invented it.

Personally, other than electricity, i'm going with the internet. Revolutionised the world. The way you can talk to people on the other site of the world instantly, and have billions of pictures, songs, movies, pr0n, all at your fingertips is amazing.

The MP3 players been picked up a bit here. Long long ago i thought the idea of a BIG ghetto blaster was just the its bits. With equalisers and big speakers and also AM-FM radio.
But then came along the walkman by Sony to play those collection of tapes you had to cart around in a bag And then fast forward and CD's hit town and the personal CD player was a lot better as the discs could easily be carried around.
But must say Touch Players are mind blowing. Got about over a thousand records that i don't know what the hell to do with

I was really in need of Reading glasses as eyes were out of focus and dam headaches. So being lazy as i sometimes decided to just try a few ready made reading glasses that they have in chemists. Was real lucky and went to a Sunday market and had +1.00 Focus Glasses. Only $ 5.00 to so i would consider them a real great invention at the moment.
I've always said Electric blankets have got to be the greatest invention. Specially after last night brrrr. Just put it on 20 or 30 minutes before going to bed and flick it off after jumping in
