That defensive forward role has killed many careers down at the Saints (or almost killed them).

There has been talk about it almost from the beginning of the season, so it didn't surprise me. It would want to be a good deal because Ross won't find the Freo supporters as accommodating as St Kilda supporters were, especially if he starts getting rid of quality WA players for nothing and on a whim.

If we never had duffield then broughton would not be going anywhere broughton was a very good player for us but there are few potential stars in this draft and I think Freo want to grab one.

You might remember at St Kilda Lyon dropped Del Santo and Miln till they learnt to adjust to his defensive tactics.
They both learnt and went on to be valuable team members.
Maybe Braughton is unable or unwilling to do the team thing.

Clearly Watters sees something from his days coaching Broughton at Subi, a different role than Freo have used him in to kick start his AFL career.

I find it hard to believe he'd leave Freo.

Only as trade bait. At this stage, I expect them to use 13, and trade for another pick for Toy (Maybe Essendon's 35), and use one more pick on upgrading a rookie. So, no, they aren't likely to use 60, unless they use it as part of a trade.

Yeah but hes only got one eyar left on his deal in which two of our highest paid players are on the vets list. So its not like were clearing $$$ to try and get a Buddy or someone like that at the moment.
Unless we get a long term deal for Fyfe or someline like that in the nxt few days that is heavily front loaded??
