I like the look of #4 Devlish Deb in the next at Warragul. Might struggle to get out but if it pings, will be a strong show. Not sure if I will have a punt yet but might dutch it with the #3.
Maiden race 400m. Have to love these. #3 LATIN STAR has shown the best race potential thus far. There doesn't seem to be much of a case for the other runners as of yet, unless you want to pick apart the breeding and rearing.
If #3 LATIN STAR leads, should hold on.
Quinella should pay ok, if you rover #3 with Field.
There's one thing wanting the rail. That was another thing whole together. Went BANG into the rail. Strange, strange.
Warragul Race 5
#5 FABRICE BALE - quite a consistent beginner, and that is what you want at Warragul. 9/11 placings with 4 wins, and raced against Kendale Bale last start, so this will be an easier race and should be up to the task despite level of experience.
5,6,7,8 for all your exotics looks a safe bet.
BUT.
Sometimes when all the favoured runners are next to each other, it causes trouble. So sometimes you take the exact same bet, but opposite selections. Everynow and then it pops up. Pays big too,
#4 AMAZING ATITUDE - well do we have another one who doesn't like to run passed others. Probably the case as we see so many 0-5-7 runners in maidens these days starting at big unders.
I am willing to give AMAZING ATITUDE the benefit of the doubt based on the times and recent runs when comparing to the rest of the field. We do have a sole debutant in box 5. They always say, watch the market, but that doesn't mean anything. Just look at the breeding.
Albion Park Race 3 - take evens if playing exotics.
#8 AZUSA was fastest heat winner in 23.46 and should really destroy this field from this draw. Doesnt need to lead into the first bend, as these runners just don't win enough races.
Could even stand-out in trifecta if your looking for some fun.
8-4,6-4,6
8-3,4,6-3,4,6
You would think, around $2.30 is good enough price to double your average bet.
Must admit I was completely wrong at Albion Park. Should have known better with Penny's Doll being backed at odds on to beat Azusa last start. I find it rare that dogs repeat explosive runs when young. Was to hasty and paid for it.
Looks an interesting race on paper. You have #2 TAD RUSTY who seems to absolutely gun the boxes here, yet doesn't tend to finish off his races off in good fashion. #4 UNO EXPRESS broke 27 at Horsham, and can fly early. And those times are a good sign that he can go on with the 515m in better fashion than his last attempt. But I would say, that pinging the lids is the most important factor for UNO EXPRESS, as won't have the strenght that the others do.
#5 HALKIN BALE has the Bate factor and has won 7/33 so has plenty of race experience. BUT, this is a huge but, hasn't won since September last year and hasn't won a city class race.
#7 WAKE UP WABBIT is the class factor of the race and is going well of late. 5/9 placings over this trip, including a recent 30.24 win.
#6 DROOPY MONELLI could be the surprise packet of the race. Is in a top kennel and always seems to race well. Hence the 12/14 career placings. But this is first real test to date. His 30.24 Sandown win this year, looks good on paper, so if leads this race, could upset.
Since this is going to be an interesting betting race, we can have a little play around, as these selections (in my view) may provide some value betting.
#4 MANTRA STYLE is going to be hard to beat here. Should be right with the leading bunch at the turn, and is only likely to have one runner on his inside, and should just power away up the back-straight. Main danger #8.
The Meadows Race 4 #5 ROWDY is going to go close here, has faced far superior opposition of late. Rarely wins outside 1-4 boxes, but this race is suitable.
The Meadows Race 5 is a difficult race at first look. You could almost give every runner a chance going by the form-guide. But #8 ESS BEE DEE should be hard to stop. Not only ran sub 30 at Meadows last time out, but is ultra consistent and a 30.20 run will be good enough to win this race. #1 is the main danger. Good odds there.
