Hey fellow fans i would like to enquire about joining the grag squad with a couple of my mates, so heres a couple questions.

Do you need a membership?
How much does it cost?
Is it true that you sit behind the opposition cheer squad and intimidate them?
do you have to be 18 cause we are 16 and 17yr olds?

Ive bought beer at the footy all year, im 16, have a fakie but havent had to use it at the footy. pretty slack really, its a sinch coz they jus lay em all out on the bench so they get people moving through faster

you just need to be loud and join in on the chants

TigerPower, as kainokaino said, all you need to do is join in. Wherever the Richmond cheer squad is, they'll be behind in the standing area. No special fees or anything because th area is for anyone to stand and watch the footy. You can be any age but it is an alcohol zone.

You don't need a membership.....cause there's a special section in the Great Southern Stand just for the Grog Squad. FFS.

And if you're worried about your age....get 16 tattooed on your forehead, so everyone knows.

I think your best bet is.....stay in Brighton where all the other schoolboys are.

I'm shredding this kid cause I don't know how the heck him and his mates tie their shoes up. If I had of asked the older Richmond guys I used to go the footy with at 16 those questions, they would have belted me around the head.

I'm sorry RFC but i have to correct you.
They are not always behind the cheersquad.
But they are always at the Punt Rd end.
The cheersquad only sits at Punt rd end, if it is our home game or the home teams preference is the opposite end.

As a member of the Grog Squad, I can tell you you dont need a membership to stand up there. A great day or night at the footy is guaranteed with our songs etc. I have not sat at the footy for the last 8 years.

We had seats as well but we like the atmosphere in grog squad and enjoyed hanging around there.

My only ever concern as to why I haven't stood with the Grog squad is I don't know if the view of the game would be any good, so how is the view beyond blurred and slightly one eyed.

lol thats my concern also... But im thinking that once you are in that state, it doesent matter how the view is?
