I got it a few hours ago.
Awesome game.
Two issues though, does the framerate seem pretty low to you guys, and do you find it hard to read the map?
And another thing I'm having trouble with is the driving, what method do you guys recommend for taking corners at pretty fast speeds?

EDIT: How is MGO HBK?
The driving is hard to get used to (plus most of the cars on the first island are crap). I normally slightly hold down the break button just before and as I go around the corner.

And yeah the map is hard to read.

Ok, I am guessing that this is because you are playing it on an SDTV?

The next-gen games are made for HDTV's and on Standard Definition Tellies there tends to be alot of framerate issues and everything is squashed down quite considerably, Warhawk is a pain in the arse with a SDTV.

If not then I have no idea what is going wrong, I have rarely got any framerate issues and the map is usually easy to read, unless going at extremly high speeds, try using the waypoint to help with where you want to go.

Basically you either have to take corners slowly, brake really early or use the environment to turn well ie: Bump off cars, buildings people to straighten you up, the driving is overall a learning experience which takes a while, my tip is to try some GTA Races, where you are forced to drive well and it can really help you learn quicker.

MGO is fun, it is hard to play, the maps are good and varied and the game types are fun as well.

SD-TV isn't the problem as I have a full HD 46' LCD Bravia. It might seem smaller because I'm used to being 1-2 feet away from my monitor when I play GTA:VC or GTA:SA.

Looks like I might have to pick up MGS4 as well, although I'm not excited about all the cut-scenes. I haven't played Metal Gear 2 or 3, so I'm not really interested in the story as such.

Ha, that looks great :thumbsu:

There is nothing better than this game that's ever been made, is currently on the market, or will ever be made.

Except maybe the next GTA.

Played it with mates last night for about 2 hours.. Without a doubt, sex crammed into a video game. It is > all.

Wow this game is awesome.
I take back my complaints on the hard to read map and the tough handling of cars. Both are under control now.
I can't believe that this thread has pretty much died and not many people are playing anymore.

One more thing, I can play online, but when my brother tries to enter online, it comes up with a message on Nico's phone saying that he can't due to something about his I.D.
Is this due to him being under 18? It is annoying because he has to use my I.D online.

Apparently you can go on the internet on GTA 4 and there's heaps of sites like MySpace that were taken off and have GTA 4 humour.
Yeah, there are literally 100's of sites, there are news sites that take political sides like in the real press, there are dating sites, there are medicine sites, there is a MySpace like site, there are tons to look at and scroll through, the amount of stuff on them is amazing.

I just finished it:thumbsu:

But what do i do now?
Online!

That will provide shitloads of hours more entertainment, I reccomend the GTA Races, also the co-op games are fun too.

I was disapointed when i finished the story line of the game. In past GTA's the final missions have been a bit challenging (Vice City: The big shoot out in Tommys mansion and San Andreas: The crack den) But in IV the final mission was to easy.

It's the duck and cover really, even without it, most if not all missions weren't too much of a challenge.

Yeh there awesome

But the other night i got stuck in a 1 Vs 1 race and the guy put on no weapons, and the same cars and same track everytime. He beat me like 10 times in a row because i didn't know how to change a race:thumbsd:

We should get a massive online race together:thumbsu:

Currently stuck on one of the Dwayne missions involving the strip-club.
I only tried it 3 times and didn't get very close.
Apparently one of the most hardest missions is coming up which is stealing coke from the old hospital.

Not using spoiler tags?

But it anyway, the hospital missions isnt that hard you just have to make sure to try and get out of there as soon as you get cops on you, the longer you spend in there the more cops you will have to try and kill. This mission you should just use the "cover" button to do almost the whole thing

with that mission, make sure u have body armour. if you have full body armour you can pretty much just run out of the hospital and not worry about the cops, then on the left as you run out the way you went in there is a car park, just steal the pickup truck and your free

on the hospital one, make sure you know where you're going when you exit though! It's not a bad idea to do a dry run - after you kill the goons and before you pick up the coke - otherwise it can get very confusing.

They aren't hard though compared to, say, 3 leaf clover which I just finally finished - although even that's not too bad when you know what to do. I'm also taking it slow
