Collingwood has added veteran key defender Shane Wakelin to its squad for its journey across the Nullarbor for Sunday's NAB Cup quarter-final clash against Fremantle.

Once again Collingwood will be resting key veterans - skipper Nathan Buckley, 2004-05 Copeland Trophy winner James Clement and long-serving Pie, Scott Burns.

The Magpies will be without Blake Caracella and Tristen Walker from last weekend's side.

Youngsters Heath Shaw, Brent Hall, Harry O'Brien, Sam Iles and Shannon Cox have been added to the 28-man squad.
