I pushed for a shorter off season.

It's fantasy football not hard drugs. It doesn't require that much effort to just slap a list together with a few inactives.

This has been covered many times before. There's no shame in having a few inactives as you can't make 20 players wing, full forward and rover.

The league is the most active it's ever been. There is no excuse for requiring a lull. If those in positions of responsibility aren't able to fulfill the duties required of them there are plenty ready to step up.

Any open captaincy positions? No? Well STFU.

Yup, penalise myself and pete because the individuals involved took 2 weeks to notice, still had to have a think about it, and the responsibility for that match happening is solely ours.

beez thumbed his nose and tried to prove a point, we simply refused to sign inactives who had not committed like every other club has done to meet a quota by a set date. Vastly different intent.

It's such an easy thing to sign inactives who had previously played for you, -1 or -2 I could care less if we remove them from our list and bring in people that actually want to be here.
I was merely making a comparison between the two penalties and giving validation to why such sanctions were given. My post was full of factual information relevant to the discussion whereas yours was mere deflection. Funnily enough, given 10% of your current squad haven't bothered to frequent this forum in over 8 months, playing the "listing inactives" line is very hypocritical on your behalf. You're wrong. Just stand there and be wrong and be done with it.

PS. I only quoted the second half of your post because the first half was irrelevant drivel designed to lay blame upon others.
PPS. C'mon, surely a veteran like yourself would know better than to respond to such ill-informed information posted by Juggs ;)

Name them. .. I bet a majority of them popped into the team thread to re-sign or indicated via PM. .. You missed the key part of the post you quoted. ..

Gumbies have always attempted to get agreement from players who want to sign on for another season. .. It is part of why Ninty no longer plays for the club. .. If those players choose to sit on the sidelines and watch themselves get 5 touches in a back pocket, that is their choice ;)

They are actual real people anyway.. I'd put my house on it...

You know I like you so I'll re-affirm this for you in a public forum so you don't have to continue with this line... Ashton didn't have any aliases. I verified it as soon as the first accusation was laid. Mods have access to particular tools that can confirm or deny an alias account. Ashton came up so clear I needed special glasses.

Drop this one.

Covvy and TheDoctor11 - I'm sure they indicated via PM that they would gladly participate in another season (I'm basing this on their non-existent activity), but who's to say other teams haven't had the same correspondence? It's an admirable stance the Gumbies take but you can't have captains preaching the moral high ground when they don't know the circumstances behind other teams.

FYI - The Bombers had 23 players indicate via PM or in the team thread that they would go around for Season 17.

10% of current squad, wow thats HUGE....best fine us again.

From the way you carry on I figured it was just small man syndrome. Since when does % of activity have anything to do with rules/being fined?

Besides a Gumbie player commenting on a thread about the Gumbies.....strange occurance that!

Ohhhh....that's why you tagged me before. I couldn't work out why and couldn't be bothered asking. Winks are fine, superfluous, repetitive winks are not ;) (wink used to show good natured banter as opposed to usual hard-nosed "I'm right and you're wrong" conduct).

I thought I was using it for banter. .. You cut me deep sometimes Mr B :(
