So, final list culls have been made and available spots set for the upcoming national and rookie drafts. Although pick trading can occur throughout some of the upcoming period, I'd opine that I expect few if any such trades to actually occur, with the majority of trades now to be on the nights of the national draft.
So, are any posters on the GWS board wanting to hold our own mock draft to replicate the thrill and excitement of list management?
If we get enough, I'll run it and act as "AFL House" for any required determinations. It will require 5 other posters (plus me), each taking 3 teams to be viable; if we get 8 other posters everyone will take 2 teams. Any more than that and some people can drop back to 1 team. If we do, I'll aim to distribute medium & less active teams together, rather than someone getting two teams with a lot of picks. Participants will need to do some basic research to assess what their assumed team needs or at least likely to prefer. Check out other teams' boards, as they generally have those discussions visible.
I will give preference to guys wanting to pick for other declared teams if they wish.
I'm also willing to entertain some outside posters picking for their teams if we have limited take-up from Giants posters.
I will aim to start next Friday or Saturday to get maximum weekend time, and that gives us 2 weekends and about 10 days before the actual draft.
If you're interested, put your name in this thread. if you have preferred teams, you can nominate them too. Please declare your primary preference, or minor preference so I know how much flexibility I have. But obviously if we get multiple posters with preferences for the same teams, I'll need to make decisions.
If there's insufficient interest then we can just watch other boards.
