Not sure how good it will be. Seems like a type of movie that would be very hard to make an interesting sequel. Really, given the storyline it was all done in the first, how much more can they add? Possibly just a money grab more than anything. Still, will give it a chance.

Wow, I hadnt heard a bad word from anybody about the first one til I saw this thread. First one is an epic new age comedy. Second one should be good but will be extremely hard to top the first one in Vegas.
What an absurd comment. Of course I'm talking from my perspective.
IMO it's not in the same league as comedies like 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
A lot of people discuss it as if it is in that top echelon.
Whilst that's a subjective comment, Rotten Tomatoes is one source that agrees. At The Movies too.
You got that the other way around.
If the trailer is good, it means the movie is going to suck because the best bits are in the trailer.
trailers are pretty horrible these days in the sense that you practically know how the whole movie unfolds in a matter of 60-90 seconds
The first Hangover was a well structured film which had some funny bits spreadout over the film but it was overrated in that it wasn't that funny.
Superbad for example was a movie which just cracked me up. Maybe that says more about my sense of humour!

see I didn't find superbad that funny - it was like American pie meets dazed and confused.
I think they wait long enough between movies to get people alughing again...unless ouy old enough to have seen the movie they have referenced
i.e Animal House -> American Pie, Road Trip etc -> Superbad,The Hangover
It depends on what actors you find funny I guess I find some of the Apatow comedies funny they have a lot of the same actors.
One movie I expected nothing from but found wildly hilarious at the cinema was the movie Waiting.
I can understand why people don't find these films funny.
Also the Asian guy in the first Hangover was unbelievably unfunny.

I heard it was pretty good, will have to see it for myself
Its enjoyable. It doesn't have memorable quotes like the first but it still is fun. Basically same kind of story in a different setting.
