Harvey, Max and Baker were three we sorely missed.

Some B/S decisions in the 3rd quater didn't help either.

I guess that's 'unlucky'.

judd was a wasted position, kerr and embley were missing.

Good game guys. I thought you were VERY good but we were just better on the night. You spent too much petrol in the first with the ferocious tackling. For mine you didnt have enough midfield rotations last night. The same 3 were there all night. We rotated with a few of the younger blokes which you didnt seem to do

It wasn't really a good game by the saints was it? They had a good lead by the 1st quarter and they should have pulled away with guys like Riewoldt, Gehrig, Dal Santo, Hayes and Maguire.
They didn't play as well as they could they have a lot of talent but the second tier players don't seem to step up.

I didn't. But the suggestion from many quarters that we were playing an under-manned West Coast is a crock when you look at who we had out & Ball/X Clarke severely limited and Attard going off with a knee.

FWIW, I was responding to the 'unlucky' tag. Luck had nothing to do with the result. We allowed ourselves to get rattled in the 3rd. In the 2nd I thought we responded well when W/C lifted but in the 3rd it seemed some players got frustrated with the umpires and some b/s calls. There's no excuse for players losing focus like that.

i just dont think we had the legs to play the kinda footy we did in the first quater... which we ripped u up in.

I would of thought it was our inability to shut down th Eagles mifield
(particulary Ben Cousins) in he 2nd half that hurt us ....

Yeah some decisions didnt go our way, but the way we were playing in the first half, we should not of lost.

Agreed on all accounts, except I would add Priddis's work in the midfield as well as Cousins
