OK that came suddenly. I thought it would be announced next year or maybe at the end of this year. He gave us a feeling of security with the amount we made finals over his tenure, so he definitely gave us a good time like we haven't seen in decades. Thanks for the Premierships and finals Hardwick!

The 17-18 seasons were an amazing ride with our hunger and style of play one that any fan could be proud of.

Ballsy Prelim Final wins in 2019 and 2020 and against all odds in 2020 with the Covid season shows how resilient we were in that era.

So what are the circumstances behind this decision, as at face value its seems a reckless decision leaving the playing group and club high and dry

Morris running with burnout being the main factor

If he is cooked mentally and continues to do the job it would be absolutely detrimental to his mental health

At the end of the day you need to be your own advocate and good on Hardwick for recognising that it’s not worth it

Our greatest coach since Tom Hafey. I have nothing but gratitude for him and his part in transforming our club from a laughing stock in the 00's to the great professional sporting club it is today.

This last decade and a bit is all due to him, Gale, Gary March and later Peggy. With the on field brigade of Cotchin, Riewoldt, Rance, Grimes, Houli, Vlaustuin and the great Dusty.

We are at an end of an era and it is time to make preparation for a new era. Hardwick along with all those mentioned above has provided great memories of this club in this golden decade.

I’m dead set flabbergasted , thought this may well be last year as clubs made overtures to him, never ever expected this .
I can’t thank dimma enough for turning this football team around , a true legend of the RFC for all time , farewell and good luck dimma , hope he coaches Sunday so we can have a decent send off
