I wouldn't. Norman played some pretty good footy early on and was a real talent. It's a shame really that he turned out the way he did.
I'm not saying Hartlett isn't as talented as Norman or anything like that, just that he has a bit of work to do.

One thing to consider is the future. Fev is 26. Let's give him 5 more years in the game as a reasonable estimate. Could be more, could be less.
If that's the case, Kennedy will be 24yo and Hartlett 25yo by the time Fev leaves the game. These are the ages when KKP players start to really hit their straps. We need to plan for this time, as its no use having a 21yo trying to hold down FF after Fev leaves. Sheez, just think of Fevola himself at 21.
Don't want to leave it like the ruck and start to draft replacements when its too late. I think Hartlett might not be in our best 22 right now, but we've got to play the boy whenever its reasonable to. Either give him enough games to develop, or find out he can't play the game, move him on and get someone who can fill the void that will be left by Fev's eventual departure.

The one thing I did notice about Hartlett .. was that he was Extremely Slow.

Liked the potential though - particularly the confident attitude for someone who hasn't played a game yet - communicated that HE thinks he does belong.
you're right .. should remove the "extremely" comment.Don't know about 'extremely' but did look a bit slow to me - mind you compared to blokes like Waite, Setanta and Bower most KPP do.Liked the potential though - particularly the confident attitude for someone who hasn't played a game yet - communicated that HE thinks he does belong.

I wouldn't say he was slow after that display but I'll have to take another look at the game. I knew he could kick but his agility was OK for a big man when he grabbed that ball off the deck and dished off the handpass. The most encouraging thing about Hartlett for mine wasn't his marking or kicking, but the play in the first few minutes where he wrapped up a smaller Roos player in a tackle and drove him straight into the ground with all of his weight. The one thing I did notice about Hartlett .. was that he was Extremely Slow.

Quicker off the mark and vastly more agile than Kennedy I thought. Will be competing for CHF, not CHB now that we have our backline seemingly sorted out.you're right .. should remove the "extremely" comment.
