The GFC announced, some two months ago, that James Podsiadly had joined the club, both as a VFL player and fitness coach.

It was reported in 'The Age', and also in detail by the 'Geelong Advertiser'.

A snippet from a 'Geelong Advertiser', a few days after it was announced:

GEELONG'S boom VFL recruit, James Podsiadly, says his decision to defect to the Cats was not football related.
Podsiadly, 27, left Werribee Football Club after six seasons to take up a duel role as a player and fitness coach at Geelong.
The key forward, who topped the league's goal-kicking in 2005, will be a spearhead in attack while guiding both the AFL and VFL groups through weight-training, running and recovery sessions as one of the club's high-performance managers.
Podsiadly's appointment coincides with his completion of an exercise science university degree.
He plans to cap off his study with an honours year while working with the Cats list.
He said he was at pains to leave Werribee, where he is a life member, but couldn't pass-up his dream job.
"It was always about my career; playing for Werribee while working for Geelong in their strength and conditioning department was never going to happen" he said.
"I had sleepless nights before I decided to walk away from that footy club.
"Obviously there were people who were disappointed I left, but 98 per cent of the players said they'd have done the same thing.
" To come here and learn from the best team in the competition was too good to resist."

News must travel slowly to Werribee.Have you heard yet that Essendon have sacked Kevin Sheedy ?

;)

The Titanic has just embarked on its maiden voyage too apparently...

Fair amount of discussion at the cricket match at Geelong yesterday hinting at a big move - James Podsiadly has seemingly left Chirnside Park for Skilled Stadium!

Obviously you dont get the Werribee Banner!

THey have replaced him with Nathan Thompson. Just so you know!

Kicked a few decent bags.. Dont know the tally though.

Pods has kicked 26 goals this year in 7 games and has been named in the best 5 times so he has had a fair start to the season.
He was a champion at Werribee and would have been sad to leave but the offer was just too good.
In my opinion the Bulldogs should have picked him up in the 2003-2006 period along with Ben Hudson whilst he was playing for Werribee in the VFL. They missed out on pods and got Hudson 5 years later.
Good luck to Pods for the remaining years of his career in the VFL.

Yes apparantly the space Pod has found a new home on plant 'Earth'. It is a small planet with various plants and cats.

The Pod will be able to replenish his liquid levels with cat milk and be able to swim in the Earth Lake.

Podsy has still been going down to werribee games as he still has a very close relationship with some of the players and staff down their.I Know him personally and he is loving playing at geelong and cant wait for the away game at werribee in rd19 (night game)
