if so, is it still possible to sign up for a team? im thinking Oakleigh, seeing as im from Noble Park and its not that far... and would i be 100% guaranteed to join?

Most clubs will start training in 2-4 weeks until about the week in which December 16th falls. Then they'll have a break until late January.
If you go down and train with them they won't cut you or anything. You'll be welcomed and fine to register as a player, it just means if you're not that good and the club doesn't have a club 18 you might be spending a bit of time running water instead of playing.

Oakleigh start training on 16/11/2009. Meet at Scammell Reserve 6:00pm for a short meet the coaches then its into the grind.
You and anyone else who would like to join a progressive club will be made more than welcome.
For a club even closer to Noble Park (and better 
) you should come down to Monash Blues. Training starts tonight at 6pm at Monash Uni in Clayton, near the main oval. It shouldn't be too hard getting a game each week as we will probably have a Club 18 team of our own next year.

I'm not sure when we'll find out if there's a Club 18 for Blues, but there's also the Monash Whites who are a good bunch of blokes and are affiliated with us....they train and play at the Uni aswell.
Well we're training Monday, Wednesday and Friday (optional for Friday's) until mid December, would be great to see you down there. Some of those are beach and indoor sessions for a bit of variety. Good mix of Uni aged guys and older blokes aswell, and a new coaching staff this year.sounds like a good team. i was gonna go down to Oakleigh tomorrow, but im thinking Monash now lol... what to do
First session on Monday was a bit of a shock to the system, but it felt good to be back on the track again!

Hi all,
Im a recent arrival to Melbourne and was looking for a footy club to join. Im currently staying with a relative in Toorak but will be hoping to be somewhere around the Richmond/Hawthorn area in the near future as i will be attending uni at Swinburne. If anyone knows of a club on the look out for new players let me know.
