If a player gets 3 yellow cards are they just going to miss 1 game?
Is this the same with a straight red card?
Thanks

If they get 3 yellow cards during the course of the season in a sunday match (league or cup tie) they'll get suspended for 1 match, yes. They'll be suspended for their next league or cup game so if it's one of your trainees you can play them in the midweek friendly in 10 days time and they won't miss out on training.

Yes, it's the same with a straight red or two yellows in the one match. They'll miss the next league game.

i sacked my old coach and externally got a new poor leadership & passable trainer. The only problem is that he is excellent in stamina and disastrous in everything else. Will this have an adverse effect on my playmaking training?

If so I am really disapointed as he cost be about $150k.

PJ Ward (129507598)
24 years, weak form
A sympathetic guy who is balanced and honest.
Has poor experience and weak leadership abilities.

Speciality: Technical

Nationality: Oceaina
Total Skill Index (TSI): 2 510
Wage: 1 880 AU$/week
Warnings: 0
Injuries: 0

Stamina: passable Goalkeeping: disastrous
Playmaking: inadequate Passing: weak
Winger: inadequate Defending: solid
Scoring: solid Set Pieces: weak

Want to sell this player to get some $$ Checked him out in the virtual hatrick site - says he is worth about $500k. What value should I list him at & how much do you really think he is worth?

Thanks Sainter for your help.

Just another question
I had a home friendly today and a crowd of 88...yes 88 people rocked up. The weather was sunny so I cannot see why they would not decide to rock up.
I ended up winning 8-0 but my revenue from the friendly was dismal.
To gain larger crowds I know spokespersons play a part but what other factors play a part?
Should I have VIP seats etc...
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks

Nope, you've done the right thing.

The coach is there to coach. He doesn't need to play at all. If you have a small squad you can start him or play him on the bench in your friendlies. However those attributes are all about his playing ability so they won't effect his ability as a coach.

I'll leave the transfer question to someone else, there are plenty of people here that have more experience than me.

:D

I had a few crowds of 72 people when I first started. The reason why the crowd was so small was that it was against another new team. As your supporter base grows your attendances will improve in your league and friendly matches.

Go to the transfer ads page and challenge the people on the list. Be prepared to be knocked back a lot because the teams you challenge will most likely want to play against a bigger team themselves to make more money.

What I didn't say the other day was that you can play international teams as well, just make sure it's at your home ground. Playing international friendlies will cost you money.

Don't upgrade your stadium. That will cost you a lot of money and because your team is new you won't fill it anyway. The arena costs, which would currently be $14,200 a week, would end up being much more and you'll lose in the long run. The best time to upgrade your stadium is when you are getting capacity crowds of 12,000 every week.

Thanks for the help once again Sainter.
So by the sounds of it if you host an international friendly it costs the away team and not you. I would assume that even if it wasn't the best of teams it would still give your players good experience and crowds.

One more question...
If I play a player as a winger in friendlies and inner midfielder on league games, where will he train.
I'm training playmaking so would he get trained still?

Slightly better experience for international friendlies but not a huge difference. I've also been told that you get a slightly bigger crowd in your friendlies if you play cup rules. Whether that's true I don't know.

If he plays as an inner midfielder on the sunday and winger on the wednesday he'll be trained as a winger. Basically it's whatever position he last played in. Ideally it's best to have 10 trainees so you can play your best 5 on the sunday and the other 5 on the wednesday. That way you are maximising your training slots and you'll make more money when you eventually sell them.

I don't train playmaking but the wingers get 50% training compared to the inner midfielders.

Yep thanks very much Sainter.

...
Just 1 more question lol
If I am training playmaking and buy a forward. Will he go up levels from playing?
If so how quickly compared to the area you are training?

Thanks once again!

he will slightly go up in playmaking over 2 or 3 years seeing every player gets a little bit of training no matter on where they play or even if they play.

How old is he?

Don't hattrickers refer to it as osimosis training? The training they get is very, very minimal, its nothing worth worrying about i believe.

Just wondering roughly how long it took everyone to become validated by a GM?

Been waiting 2 days and want to be able to change my formation to get the most out of training before my match on Sunday.

Its like being shouted a beer by the barman. It will happen if you hang around long enough but it will knock you off your barstool when it does. If you see one every 2-3 seasons you will be lucky. When they do happen they rarely matter - all of sudden your striker has his defending go up to poor.

International friendlies get slightly more experience and slightly bigger crowds. The best-case for a new team is to get foreign teams to visit you.

If you get 1 experience point (no one knows) for a league game you get 0.2 for an international friendly and 0.1 for a local friendly.

You get a slightly larger crowd for a Cup Rules game as Sainter suggests. There is however n% chance of extra-time and penalties - therefore the chances of picking up an injury are a little higher.

As a general rule you should be trying to get the biggest foreign clubs you can visit your place for a cup game. Maximises crowd (and therefore cash) and also experience.

A question about coaches...
After reding through the many pages of this thread, I picked up valuable information on the begginers type of coach e.g (poor leadership, passable trainer)
When your team becomes better what type of coach?
What part does leadership play in a coach?
Have any coaches outlayed the 36 million for best coach or is it unnecessary?

On a different matter:
What is the deal with on some players it says I speak, for example Chinese. When you click on it, it comes up with something like "omg". It that of any revelance?

Any help will be greatly appreciated
thanks

When you start you should buy either a passable coach or a solid coach with poor leadership. If after buying your trainees you can afford a solid coach go for him, otherwise buy a passable coach and upgrade him when you have the money.

I went with a passable/poor coach originally. I've now got a solid/poor coach. I also just bought a player with passable experience and passable leadership who I intend to make my coach sometime in the next couple of seasons. Leadership is quite important because it affects the way you manage your PIC and MOTS. (If you don't know about PIC and MOTS look back at this thread and read the game rules) Eventually what you want to do is upgrade one of your own players because it's far cheaper doing that than buying a coach with good leadership externally. So ideally you'll want to buy a player who can go straight into your first team. Then in the future you can make him your coach. The leadership will never change but the experience will. Play him in your first team and he'll eventually go up in experience.

It's probably quite confusing at the moment. Just make sure you buy a passable/poor or solid/poor coach and you're on the right track. :thumbsu:

It's not important. It's just an added feature for people with hattrick supporter. They can write a small comment for each player.

When training (I am training 10 playmaking in both matches) is it advisable to rotate the 5 selected players through each position?

Over a 5 week period this would ensure every player is trained the same, eg. 3 weeks full, 2 weeks half.

Is this advisable, or should I just leave the wingers out wide not getting as much playmaking training?

Won 3-1 on a PIC. I was quite lucky actually. The team i played done a MOTS last week so i thought it would be a shoe-in, but he MOTS'd again. His team spirit must be shot to bits now.

Lost 4-2 at home to dyertribe in the mid-week friendly. Was 1-1 when my keeper went off injured. :(

I had one very very early, like in my first or second week. I didn't have a clue how it happened, but it sent my striker's play making up to passable, so i wasn't complaining.

I have the big top of the table clash next week which will give my team promotion should we win. We're currently 11-0 and the team we're playing are 10-1.

If I lose it will come down to goal difference. At the moment my GD is 3 better than his but if he beats me by 2 goals he'll go on top of me. If that happens I don't fancy my chances of going up because my 5-4-1 formation isn't exactly conducive to high scoring.

Whatever happens I'm happy though. Ideally I reckon one more season in Division 6 would be best for my team but I'm not going to knock back the chance to go up if it turns out that way.

A point today and i seal my first ever promotion in my 3rd season of hattrick. I am currently 2-0 up, i have about 4 players out through injury but I'm playing the bottom team who only joined a few weeks back.

Sounds good mate. Anxious about which div V you will head into? Actually, will you have a qualifer? Or are you above the auto promotion line?

I'm winning 6-0 on PIC at the moment. I need to MOTS next week to snag 3rd :)
