Alright I'll change back to dedending for this week and then do stamina for two weeks.

Thanks bobby_diggy

Cheers, and well done on the perfect season. :thumbsu:

I see that you are promoting to a pretty strong series. Good Luck.

****!

Hadn't noticed how hard V.81 was going to be.

My best hatstats rating of 144 leaves me as the 7th best team in the division. I thought there'd be a few other crap teams to allow me to consolidate.

Good luck on Sunday. Won't be easy but all you can do is give yourself the best possible chance and pray.

Important note:

Updates can be delayed. Just have patience they will happen.

I've copied this directly from the Newbie Conference on Hattrick and changed the dates around to suit those of us in Oceania. I've been playing this for over a year and I still find it helps.

And well done to Dyertribe as well who has come from third to win his Division IV league.

Arsiest title win since I came from 4th with Boro on the final day in CM0102.

Congrats to all those who had a hattrick massage with a happy ending. ;)

Anyone else think the Premier Division title was a rort?

Wow!
I got my first 2 defenders up to formidable and others are very close.

Just found that three teams for next season are bots and the team that has been relegated down is a beginner. Now top 4 is a certainty and with a bit of luck higher.

I'm wondering what I should do with my 360,000 I have at the moment. I already have a poor/solid coach and definately do not require a ground upgrade yet. Looking at getting a playmaker as my midfield is very weak but what should I look for with the amount I have in mind?

Any help greatly appreciated!

I took a look after you posted this - and read the PP forum in particular.

Very very dodgy - it's a shame that it's turned out to be the final straw for Cobra Strikers.

At the moment i have around 1.2mil just wondering if i should upgrade my passable /weak leadership coach? I think i can finish in or just outside the top 4 this season with a bot and what looks like a weaker team than mine qualifing.

Just wondering what i should do, I'm trying to get a forward as mine are only solid and i dont think they will be that effective in div V my defenders are also all solid bar 1 which is passable but he doesnt play apart from friendly's or if someone is injured. Im planning on turning him into my coach in one or 2 seasons depending what his leadership is.

You've definitely got to upgrade your coach. Your trainees are developing slower than they should be.

Unless you've got a ready made coach in your squad, that is someone with a minimum of inadequate (but preferably at least passable) leadership as well as solid experience, you'll need to recruit one externally.

It will cost you $537,400 for a solid coach with poor leadership. At your stage you probably don't need to worry about the leadership yet. As well as buying the solid/poor coach externally, buy yourself a player who you intend to play each game who has passable/solid leadership and at least inadequate experience. He can become your future coach in over 16 weeks time.

I was reading the Oceania conference boards on Hattrick today and happened to stumble across a thread by one of the hosts of the One Weekend at a Time program on SEN. The show is on midnight to 6am on Sunday mornings.

I haven't listened to it but apparently they are all avid hattrick players and discuss the game regularly on the show.

Recently they interviewed NZ cricketer Mark Gillespie, currently in the World Cup squad in the Carribbean, about his Hattick obsession. His team Scooby FC has just been promoted to Division 2 and in the previous season won the Oceania Cup. Bigfooty's TigerT got a mention for being a great help to him in that winning cup run.

If anyone is interested the interview is here:- Link

Hattrick is down!
seems this new youth system has a few flaws in it.

This downtime had been scheduled for nearly a week. Next time you log in read the system information section on the bottom right hand of the page. If there's any downtime coming up it will appear in bright red so it's usually hard to miss. ;)

There do seem to be a few flaws in the new youth system but I don't think that's unexpected. It's something new and personally I reckon it's a great addition to the game.

won my cup game though dont know how much i won by or who scored.

It usually comes up in a day or so doesnt it?

It's not supposed to happen at all but it does seem to occur on a regular basis.

If you use one of the helper applications like Hattrick Organiser you can view your result now. If not it doesn't matter. The important thing is that you've won your first game and have your next game scheduled.

I had a 5-0 win. I can't say I'm too impressed with my second round draw. I thought having been promoted I may have been given a Division 6 opposition again but I've got a home game against a mid-table Division 5 team. I'm going to have my work cut out surviving in Division 5 so I'll probably just look to PIC and hope for the best.

I would be nice if it worked like that! But you drew the div 5 team because the cup draw is worked out through your ranking from last season when you were in div VI. Next season you'll definately get a bot in rd 1 then an easier team.

I won 7-0 today. My star striker scored 3 goals. :thumbsu:

Same.

On the upside, i have 4 out of the next 5 games at home, so i'll be able to get to get back in the black and get a new coach by mid season :)

Won in the cup I am guessing as I have another cup game next week.

I didn't realise the league matches started this Sunday, is it safe to play the players who played in the cup in the league this weekend or will I risk them losing stamina?

I am not going to play my strong team in the cup from now on, they can be rested for the league.

You're right.

My current league rank is 2853 so I guess that won't improve until I start playing this season. Although to be honest I've got the 7th best squad in my league so unless I can do something special I could be back in Division 6 next season anyway.

Your results for last game should have appeared by now.

They won't lose any extra stamina by playing twice in a week. The Cup game yesterday was once again the only game played in the week so many people will take the chance to train stamina or set pieces because it's the only training method where the entire squad receive training. From next week onwards, things return to normal.

Everybody will have their own way of approaching the Cup. What I do and I'm sure it's something that most users will do is continue to play half of your trainees in the league and the other half in the cup but when it comes to your non-training slots just play your best players in both games. For example if you're a playmaking trainer you might as well play your best forwards and defenders in both games. You can also use the Cup to PIC which will increase your team spirit and boost your midfield for your league game.
