Can anyone tell me what has happened to the Hawk Headquarters site it seems to have been down for ages.

It's a private forum these days, invite only if they contact you. Forget about it AND MOVE ON!

Bigfooty hawks website and www.mightyhawk.net is the two most common places for a hawk supporters these days. Some use just one site, some use both sites just as i do.

Happy Posting

When I go to the mightyhawk site it comes up XML Parsing error:junk after document element what does this mean.

Link works fine for me. So your either having real computer problems or your out to try and stir up shit "junk error" . I not sure which it is!

Good Night

Apples and oranges my friend. ;)

I do not think so. HHQ is a less acitve site then big footy. When I go to HHQ every thread they have is pretty much identical of what you can find on big footy.

BF is my first stop, and if I am bored I see if hhq has anything, it ussually doesnt, thats why my post count is lower there then on this forum.

Why is it invitation only? Is it to keep out the trolls or do the posters there think they are better or more hardcore/passionate?

It sounds like the latter but I wouldn't know.

I happen to frequent HHQ, Mighty Hawk and Bigfooty at various times.
In the end they reflect the divergence that exists amoungst our supporter base.
There are subtle difference in each but I've managed to stay on good terms by sticking to a few basic rules.

- Avoid personal abuse
- Back up an opinion with some well presented arguements
- Don't make up crap
- Respect your players and fellow supporters.
- Leave your ego at the check-in.

A club with a united supporters is a strong club so I see little point in bagging any of these forums.
Each is run by committed moderators who devote hours of their time for our enjoyment.

Sure it's easy to just slag off at others (because they go about things in a different way) but the fact is we all share a common link and that's the Hawthorn Football Club.

To each is own

Lol.. beautiful! It was beautiful! :thumbsu:

*Applaudes*

I will roll my eyes up at both mh and hhq because both of those forums treat their new members who post something that is factual and correct, like second class citizens. So I certainly won't recommend going to either.

It is a private forum. It got shutdown in mid 2006 all because of some issues that some prick on the forum decided to post up an afl umpire's phone number and work address.

Very very well said Dr J. ...set the above as your rules for posting on this forum you cannot go wrong.

Hawk Headquarters is the worst trolling site on the net and it's Hawks against Hawks.

Nothing missed by leaving there, trust me.
That's the biggest load of crap I've read on here for some time.

Binxy, HHQ is a private board now because the mods and admin wanted to cut some of the infantile crap that was going on throughout the forum before the closure. Everyone remember 'Max Power'? Or the calls for Clarksons head after every loss.
It's now a much more informative place with great analysis and discussion.

Pity that its such an exclusive club that only a select few can access it. It's funny how they state they wanted to get rid of the crap posters but people like Cranny Pete can still access Hawk Headquarters.

It got made private BECAUSE of cranny pete, if memory serves correctly. Didn't he post Goldspinks number at one stage, and sanctions were imposed by higher bodies with deeper pockets?

Or is my memory and various chat rooms all blurring?

Your memory is correct. Cranny Pete still posts at HHQ. See its a bit of a mind game, they blame Cranny for making the site private, but allow him to post. Now it was obvious the admin must be in support of Crannys cracking work, or he would be smart enough not to allow him to post. So the real reason the site was made private was from outside pressures because of Crannys post.
