Just like last years thread, whatever Barrett has to say is not Hawthorn in the media.

Couldn’t care less for his shit takes, they don’t belong here.

Ginni played the question on ducking perfectly
He did.
Quite an insightful interview actually. He doesn't always go with the bog standard answers to questions players usually trot out in these interviews.
Interesting to hear how he's loving playing with so much more freedom at hawks as opposed to Pies where he came across as being very frustrated with how he was forced to play there.

Dylan Moore on 3AW coming up

Fair to say McClure and Lloyd were blown away by Moore in this. McClure said after it was one of the most impressive interviews he’s ever been involved with.

Cheers for sharing. Excellent listen. So different to the previous era where players played straight bat in every interview, and you didn't really gain any insight.

Some interesting take aways:

- Heard this several times before, but the switch to focusing on strengths more so than dwelling on weaknesses turned his career around. Amazing to think we nearly lost him if not for Gold Coast game. Have to wonder what we were doing in the final years of Clarkson, playing senior players in dead rubber years and not investing in guys like Moore enough.

- So many players seem to speak positively of Ginnivan. His image he conveyed at Collingwood seems very different to the vibe he has around this group. Seem they respect him as a person and also his football nous. Great for Jack and a good match for us as well.

- Also great insight about how Sam is more direct about giving feedback to players this year on how to improve, after being more relationship based the first two years.

- Sam's after game meeting, getting players and coaches to put up their hand if they thought they made a mistake that impacted the result, and everyone put their hands up. What a great starting point to move forward collectively.

They're all lining up to say there were on us early.

Kane drives that van though
Montagna jumped out of the back of the van while we were driving.
Let’s hope Kane drives quick enough that he can’t get back in the van.

We don’t need people jumping in & out of the van willy nilly

I always thought Ginnivan would mature once he was traded to us.

He’s mature enough to know his time was up at Collingwood without actually being told those exact words.

So he is also mature enough to take the advice of ‘read the room’.
& he did.

He’s pulled his head in, he’s at the club he wanted to be at & he’s coach by an idol of his.

I also love the maturity he shows when decisions don’t go his way with the umps.
He gets up & plays on.

Unlike the Cats.

A fish rots at the head, Scott is a whinging sooking coach, the majority of those who play under him do the same

That was a strange one.

He was all over us. I feel he saw the writing on the wall that the saints are cooked and it cut deep

Even slobbo gave Will Day his Monday love last night in 360. Heavens to Betsy!
A couple of weeks ago, Robbo's ''sure thing" prediction on 360 was that we would trouble Port. He was proven right.

Last week, his ''sure thing'' was that there would be an upset on Sunday and he had us beating the Lions as the most likely. Again he was right.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: Robbo is a much more objective and impartial journalist than the Cats-sycophant who sits beside him on 360.
