Will all be announced at the AGM?

Why would you upgrade from 40-something to 30-something?

Give Lithers 13, Frawley gets 12 and JOR gets 21. All the other recruits get the remaining numbers as they were selected

Hawthorn FC Official has said the club is announcing the players numbers later this week.

Having a guess as an outsider (and subscribing to the thread in the process)

21: O'Rourke
30: Howe
34: Pittonet
36: Miles (sorry Mini-Joff)

Good to see the #36 Curse history spreads beyond our little circle :)

(why can't the club get it, then?):eek::eek:

I think they should announce the numbers as soon as the player comes to the club. Adds a bit more fan-fare when the player is presented with the jumper for the first time.

I prefer that the players research the history of the numbers, it is a great way to start them out on the great history of our club.

Perhaps I should send them this then, jumpers #2, #9 and #23 appear to be the most successful to date:

#46 Chris Mew was a great story in 1983. "Mew, streaming down field, looking for Matthews.... What a grab from the skipper" (Peter Landy, 1983 GF). I can almost recite the whole game. Only wish I could remember everything like I can games I saw when I was a kid!

Surely the 36 has been burnt....

Reakon Frawley will get 12 as the most senior of our new players.

I like the move of Hartung up the list

I also think it would be good for the outgoing player (Sewell, 12 for instance) to choose which player he wants to fill his void.

So Sewell might pick a player similar to himself. But obviously the new player must approve

With our full list completed for 2015, what are everyones predictions for our numbers next season, which we should find out at next weeks AGM. Bolded are my opinions for next season.

In 1989, Col Austen was retrospectively awarded the Brownlow Medal for season 1949. He had tied with Ron Clegg but lost on the countback system of the time.

In 1949 he wore guernsey #9.

Is 21s main achievement having Richie Vandenbiff as captain?
