Paul Roos said so. It's what gives them their edge. We're bound to end up with all our midfeilders bunched up against the boundary line like forgotten characters in SimCity.
Rivalry aside, as much was I'd enjoy seeing Sydney win tonight, I just can't see why so many people are tipping them?
You guys destroyed them at the MCG earlier in the year, and they arguably had a better team than they are fielding tonight (other than tippet)
You guys should be extremely confident and rightfully so, it's not a matter of who will win, it's a matter of how much Hawthorn will win by.
This year deserves a Hawthorn V Geelong grand final, nothing else.

Losing to the swans in round 23 would have broken our pact not to lose to them ever again. Chappy proved this could be done so we got to stick to it forever and ever.

They are tipping on the basis that we have Franklin out, they have Tippet in and, after being close last week, it will swing it the Swan's way.

I'm sure you're aware, there's been a trend in recent times when a team beats a team in a very important match, the team on the wrong end of that goes on a big winning streak over the winner. Obviously the big one is Geelong over us. But Collingwood haven't got within a bull's roar of us since the '11 Prelim, pretty sure the Cats haven't beaten the Pies since the '11 GF. Are we starting one of those against the Swans? We've made a pretty good start this year, 2 from 2. I reckon we can continue that tonight.

I'd much rather be playing the Swans tonight, means if we win which I think we will, we get to play Freo most likely in the PF. That is the best run to the grand final we can get. Better than having to play Sydney in a do or die PF

Really interested to see if we get cut to pieces through the middle of the ground as swans players waltz through the middle of the MCG unattended like happened last year in the GF and also in the prelim against the crows. Was one of the more staggering things I’ve ever seen on a footy field, and two games in a row was just unbelievable, thought the first mustve been an aberration!
