Anyway why wouldn't have Cohle not noticed the facial scaring the first time he spoke to him. His beard wasn't that thick?

In all seriousness, a clean shave can make people look quite different (which I thought he did + it has been 17 years).

I see the scarring on his face there but I hadnt seen that pic before. I think I found my first flaw with this show. Rust should have been all over that.
