Can't really say anything about this show anymore because whatever I want to say, sounds ridiculously over the top. Just flawless television.

And just when you think Rust can't get any more awesome:

much like the early episodes of Breaking Bad's final 8, it's just laying the ground work for the storm that is to come.

For a filler episode it doesn't get much better than that. It's almost intoxicating the mood they set in this show. Some really intense acting scenes I thought Michelle Monaghan did an excellent job here. The throwdown delivered. The ending was a classic setup scene.
Should have known Lili Simmons would have a more 'substantial' role She is really stunning. You should see some of her work in Banshee. Doesn't mind the racy stuff!

Interesting theory regarding Cohle's involvement. Some hve speculated that Cohle's daughter may have been kidnapped and killed by 'The Yellow King' and he's been working his daughters murder ever since.

Did anyone else think that Woody's wife had a brief look of recogition on her face when she saw what Rust was working on?

Did she launch into the act because she realised Rust was getting close under the guise of her hurting Woody?

Or is this just another subtle red herring seemingly embedded throughout this series?

Was a pretty boring episode. Got detail on their falling out and a bit more on the dodgy minister. Set up episode for the final 2 so im ok with that. Anyone else have hard time understanding them at times? Mumble to much haha

I thought that immediately when she turned up at Cohle's place. But then thought why would they show her in a bar trying to pick up? THEN that made me suspicious that if it was a genuine red herring maybe they wouldn't have bothered showed her at the bar. So maybe by showing her at the bar beforehand they're trying to put us off the scent.

Yeah she's fantastic in Banshee. Never realised I had an Amish girl fetish until then.

Agree with others, probably the least exciting episode, but still great.

Remember when they visited the bunny ranch, Marty gave that girl some cash and Rust asks "if it's a down payment" and Marty gets pissed?.....well what do you know, he ends up banging her. Life is a flat circle.

A spear tackle some pleb from the WWE/F? would die for.

Wow...just watched back to back Ep 1-4 in a row.

Ep 4...end scene in the projects....up there with one of the best filmed TV sequences of the past decade.

....astoundingly filmed.
