In the past on these boards I stood up For Kane "Sugar" Johnson, however after this weekend no more. He is a plum, for a bloke who is suppose to be the senior of all senior players he is just not good enough.
The turning point in my opinion was a febile attempt at a mark whilst the game was up for grabs in the last quarter. A kick (not the best mind you but on target) to him on the lead and instead of attacking the ball he lopes forward and half assed an attempt at it.
Result you ask; well a quick turn around that sees Richmond players out of position and an easy goal for the Dockers. A player in the under 11's would have gotten draged for that effort.
How are a young up and coming team suppose to find that "Spark" if their leader displays such contempt at the ball and game.
To all the senior players, you may not be part of the next Tiger succesful period, you can however have a big part in shaping it. It is up to you to inspire and develop the younger players coming up.
