Has played only a handful of games for Sydney, made his debut in 1999. Has some reasonable height and comes from good stock. Would Port be interested in picking him up late in the draft? I would seriously look at him, couldn't be any worse (read more of a gamble than the cows going for Fitzgerald (or us picking up Chapman), both have shown promise but both have had a lot of injuries. Difference is James is still only 22, rookie list chance perhaps?

I wonder if Heath has looked into the cronic hamstring injury cure that Leppitsch has successfully used?

It involved some VERY painful needle therapy deep in the hamstring, I don't know the treatments name, but it was done in WA.

If he could get right, he'd be a reasonable player, but gee, Port has been burnt on chances like this in the past

My dad is mates with Max James and the James' are also cousins of one of my mates and they've said that Heath will definatly be returning to play with the Magpies next year. Whether or not the Power will get him im not sure. He is very talented but i dunno if theyd take the risk....altho they did with Wade Chapman.

With Wade Chapman, they knew that if he recovered, he had proven to be a good AFL footballer.

With Heath, there's no such promise. He won't be on the Power list any time soon.

11 hamstring tears in 2 years. There's have to be a big question mark over his capacity to play SANFL let alone AFL.

Champan is the obvious comparision, i guess a place on the main list may be out of the question but i couldn't see anything wrong with seriously looking at putting him on the rookie list. Be nice to have a James along with an Ebert on the list(s), the Port tradition continues.

As long as their continuing Port tradition isn't just with the Magpies, that'd be fine.
